weather! We had frigid weather last week - the 10 degrees, feels like negative numbers sort - and today it was 57 degrees at 6:30 in the morning. I was thinking what a rollercoaster this weather is in our area! Then it got me thinking of other people's roller coasters.... lol!

What is going on in your area that is acting like a roller coaster? Is it the weather? People? School? Kids? Something that needs to get it's act together and figure itself out! Ours is the weather - Ms. Mother Nature went to a happy hour or something! Geez!

Perfect Meme!

:giggle that meme is funny.
we had a tiny rain storm tuesday evening, but it's been cool here (finally). I'm happy with the 60-70s we've had steadily. not a 40 degree difference!

Bahahaha! Great quote Jenn! We are at 58 and all the snow and ice is just about melted. So crazy. The weather was so bad last weekend - I refused to leave the house. Tomorrow we are back at it again with freezing rain expected in the AM.

Also MOC has been a bit of a roller coaster for me ... some days the pages flow easy and I am caught up and others I behind quite a few. But it's a fun ride. I just finished one and have 2 more to catch up for today now. :)

The weather has been a roller coaster here too, but my issue is actually the school district's apathy about school delays vs closings vs having a regular day of school. You'd think that the precise meteorological tools at their disposal (via NOAA and, heck, the national news channel, etc) would give them a little bit of comfort in deciding the night before a bad storm that school can be canceled for the next day. But they don't make those decisions until 6:30am the day of...and btw, middle and high school buses come BEFORE 6:30!

OK, rant over!

I will say that growing up in Michigan, we very frequently saw all 4 seasons in one week lol. But usually it wasn't in January; it was in like March or October. :)

Well, lets see---last week we had below zero and single digit weather. Yesterday it was 50 degrees and the snow melted and made lakes all over the place; my sidewalks, backyard etc. Last night it dipped to single digit again and, yep, I have ice skating ponds everywhere! Now I am sitting here watching it snow----SIDEWAYS! That wind is blowing like crazy!! Of course the ice is getting covered; just waiting for someone to walk on it, not realizing there is ice underneath, and fall on their tush!!!!! Oh, and it is 12 degrees outside!!

Another weather roller coaster here. Sub-freezing temps for almost 2 weeks. A little snow during that time. Warm up this Tues-Thurs. Heck, I went to the grocery with just a fleece sweater as my coat yesterday since it was in the 50's. Sub-freezing temps are coming back for another week. Just this morning I have seen freezing rain and snow. I love that meme... saw it on FB earlier this week.

My other rollercoaster has been the heat in my house. During the frigid weather, the heat pump doesn't heat and needs the backup heat source. I don't have a furnace but ceiling radiant heat (a 1960's thing when the house was built). I turned it on and the kitchen and living room were OK but my bedroom and office/craft room were still freezing. I was resorting to portable heaters to try to keep warm. 8 days in I blew a fuse in the bathroom. When I went to fix it, I noticed there was a fuse in the off position... yep, the fuse for the heat in the other 3 rooms of the house had been off all this time. So I fixed that. It seemed to warm up some but I still had to use the portable heaters. For the record, they were never on or plugged in if I wasn't in the room. Then Sunday night it was really windy and I was in bed. The wind was keeping me awake because of a noise made by wind at the front door. I felt a breeze through one of my bedroom windows??? So at 1 a.m. I got up and looked. All of my windows looked like they were closed but they weren't. They were open about 1/4 an inch! So I checked all the windows in the house and all of them, even ones that I never open were like that! I got a few of them fixed and locked. But there were a couple I couldn't. So first thing Monday morning I got a step stool out and checked the top windows for the ones I couldn't get locked. They were also down about 1/4 inch. I could not get them closed. I called a cousin and he came over and got them all shut and locked for me... it is now finally warm in my house!!! So I'm hoping this next bout of frigid weather won't be so bad!

Mother Nature sure is a bitter drunk woman lately! It's in the 70's until next Wednesday then back into the 60's for a couple days and back to 71 on Sunday!

MN, that lady... She's all over the place. :giggle

we have the same weather here Jenn in Va Beach. it is crazy. 70 today and supposed to freeze again on Sunday!

@HavaDrPepper I'm so glad the house will hopefully be warmer! We had a similar problem, only opposite season! We could not get the office to cool down, so I was concerned about the heat off the computer. Turned out that the window looked closed, but wasn't at the bottom. It was sitting crooked and open about 1/4 of an inch! Just enough to let all that 100+ F degree air in over the summer .

My roller-coaster is probably my energy level! Yesterday it was super high and I got all the things done.

Today? I want to take a nap...and I didn't get out of bed until 9:30am.

energy would be my roller coaster too @bestcee, if it’s immediately after treatment for low iron then i’ve got energy but if i over do it the following 1-2 days I drag myself through the day. Still working on balance with my treatments, supposed to have 2 a week - too close together and i’m in agony (can’t sit or lay cause of where the injections are done) but too far apart I run on empty for a bit.

Same here in Michigan!

Rollercoaster weather here, too. It was in the 60's and wonderful today, winter weather advisory and a high of 26 tomorrow...lows in the single digits *sigh*

if it’s immediately after treatment for low iron
Oh! Thanks for reminding me. I don't think I took my iron this week, and that always contributes to my up and down energy.
I'm sorry the injections are painful.
