Hi Guys...

It's getting a bit chilly by me here in NJ, a brisk 32 degrees... and I'm all like Brrrrrrr! Hop in my car to go to work, and my favorite comfort this morning when driving was the heated steering wheel and seat. Ahhhh...

Then I got to thinking about comforts... things that make me happy, bring me joy and make me comfortable RIGHT NOW!

My yummy tea since I'm not feeling great - this makes me simply happy, my insides warm, and tastes good. My morning radio show (92.3 Cane, Corey & Riley Show) lets me laugh, sing badly, and enjoy my commute to work. My car seat/steering wheel keeping me warm especially since I forgot to auto start the car, oops. AND... My comfy jeans are jeans, but have a stretch to them, and are comfortable like leggings (Democracy Brand) - perfect for a day of not feeling great, but stuck at work. :)

What are your right now comforts!? Sitting right where you are, what is bringing you comfort?

Sitting at my desk, I have a very cold Diet Pepsi over ice, I'm in a super comfy office chair, facing two monitors that help me when I'm designing or scrapping, and I'm enjoying having the windows cracked to a BRRRRR 53 degrees in Florida today. I'll have to pop out to take Daniel to school, but when I come back, I'll take a break to grab a bite to eat and while I'm eating, I read. I love that I have the ability to read on my phone, my iPad or Kindle, or like this morning, a real book. I'm feeling a bit better this morning (I've been struggling with chronic pain and a pretty serious dip in depression and spike in anxiety), so that makes me feel like a million bucks compared to recent weeks. Thanks for helping me see all the good around me today, @jk703 Jenn!

Brrr is a running family joke. So it makes me think of my boys too - Brr is slightly cold, Brrr Brrr is it's cold, move fast to heat. And Brrrr Brrrr Brrrr is shivering, and all I can think of is it's cold! :giggle

That is Brrrr Brrrr for Florida! I love to read on my phone, at work, and anywhere. I read most of the time, and don't really watch TV. I tried to add a couple shows in, but I just itch to read.

Feel better! I can't imagine chronic pain or depression with anxiety. I've had meds for depression in the past, but mine was more situational or seasonal, so meds helped when needed.

So much good! The little things count! :beat

My comforts right now are the space heater I have blasting me in my home office because it's 39° outside in Michigan right now. I mean we have the heat on, but I just felt chilly today. Also I am working from home for a few more weeks (they sent us back home in August and keep extending it a few weeks at a time, until November 15th) so I get to work in sweatpants and hoodies with my slippers on. It's my favorite!

Also... when I do drive in the cold months, I also love my heated seat. I didn't get the heated steering wheel and I regret that some days! :giggle

I sent a photo of the cats on our family group and the question arose how cold is it?
I said 19C [66 F] coolish and my son's GF said oh that's lovely and warm. (not here it isn't) they had 8C [46F] today in London.

I am settled with cats on my lap, watching hallmark Christmas movies.
Tis the season - before it gets way too hot again and I feel like I am melting.

I have one next to me at work! Love it!!! I cannot work from home, and I think my heated blanket from home would be frowned upon, lol!

I'd take 66! lol! I imagine cat pictures as a perk too! :)

Well its around 60 something now and going to be in the low 70's. it was a brisk 57 at 8:00 am when the dogs woke me. My comforts- my little black kitty sleeping on the chair next to me, Sirrius XM The Pulse music on Alexa and the picture of me and Carson and one of my dad on the desk top next to me!

Bwahahaha! I love the progression of brrrrs.

What are you reading now? I'm reading a book by Richard Powers called The Echo Maker. It's not new - released in 2006, but it won the National Book Award for Fiction and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. I'm nearing the end, so I'll finish it, but it wasn't nearly as good as I'd hoped it would be. It follows a brother and sister after the brother has a car accident and suffers brain damage and thinks his sister is an imposter. I think the next book I read it going to be a fluff book after getting through this one.

I'm on meds for depression/anxiety, and they help IMMENSELY. It would hard to live without them.

Right now it would be my big bottle of sugar free peach iced tea I've just opened

Music is always a positive and comfort to me. Changes my moods, and I tend to gravitate to music I can sing badly too! :P

I read a lot of fluff with good books in between. I am in a witchy series by Brenda Trim - witches who get their powers in their 40's, lol... fun stuff, and I usually giggle and can relate to some of the thoughts and traits the characters have! :P I have Her Perfect Family by Teresa Driscoll or True Colors by Kristin Hannah on my next list. I love Kristin Hannah so that might have a little extra nudge for me to read.

Meds are wonderful at keeping us medically, physically and mentally, in our lanes. Thank goodness for the creators.

Sadly, lately my comfort is food and Pepsi, and the scale shows it.

Right now today? I am snuggling the dog.. with the cat on my chest purring. I ordered take out for super from my favorite place.. Prime rib, mashed potatoes, a salad and chili! ..
and watching netflix in my pj's.. so thats my comfy day today

Crotchet is my comfort at the moment. When I get a bit stressy (like now) I have found keeping my hands busy with a pretty pattern and some yummy yarn makes me settle the heck down.
I'm making a lovely (if I do say so myself) pastel throw for my eldest DD at the moment and it really helps to soothe the slightly crazed menopausal beast within!

New episodes of "Catfish," queso + tortilla chips, Christmas music & Hallmark Christmas movies, and morning audio messages/nightly FT calls with my boyfriend are bringing me all the comfort & all the joy right now.

I have a little reading nook in my dining room: a small bookcase next to a comfy loveseat; a coffee table piled high with books and magazines; and there's room on the loveseat for my dog Lucas. Every morning I have coffee in my little nook, with my dog snuggling next to me. Pure comfort!
