Have you any? I love going to different places and eating what's popular there that we don't have where I live.

So... what's the good eats where you are?

I live in Ohio so not much... Haha. When I was in Detroit we had some killer coney dogs, though!

I live in Erie, PA. Food choices are not so good here. Pizza shops are run by the mob and you can only get pre-baked crusts (yuk!) There is 1 Indian restaurant and 1 French restaurant. Most else are the regular chains.

Um, the only thing Utah is famous for is fry sauce. You know, for dipping french fries. It's a combination of ketchup, mayo... some vinegar I think? I don't know I've never made it, but all the fast food places here have it and it is YUMMY. And you can buy it in the condiment isle of the grocery store.

I lived in Philadelphia for about four years and you can't say you've had a real philly cheese steak unless you've had one there. Killer pretzels too.

Hmmm... I live in Iowa and you have not lived until you've had fresh farm stand sweet corn. We also have really yummy "Dutch letters" which are almond filled s-shaped pastries.

Oh we do have lots of farm fresh sweet corn! In fact, in July there's a bike ride here, that at the end they give you pulled pork sandwiches and fresh roasted sweet corn, and then they give you another 3 freshly picked ears of corn to take home. Totally worth the 25 mile ride.

When I went to Montreal, Quebec I ate poutine any chance I got. Poutine is french fries with gravy and cheese curds. Totally a heart attack waiting to happen...a yummy yummy heart attack...LOL

Our fast food restaurants in Canada sell poutine as well, but they aren't as good.

I live in SW Michigan and we are known for being the "fruit belt" of Michigan, so there is tons of fruit stands in the summer. AND because of lots of grapes... we have lots of wineries here and that's my favorite local "food" LOL!

I've never had a fish taco... do explain?

OMG...I was just craving me some Taco Time...but Washington Taco Time...they also have Taco Time in Wyoming (I think...it might have been Utah) and it's nothing like PNW Taco Time....and Teriyaki...again PNW Teriyaki...we don't even have Teriyaki places here in Mississippi and in Washington there is one on like every block.....Every time I go home I gorge myself on those two.

I live in So Cal which is pretty much the melting pot of all types of cuisine. LOL. I couldn't think of any one thing that is popular for this area. Oranges? Wine? LOL I dunno.

Anige!!! I was just thinking about this...Swenson's .... AND SkyWay! You have GREAT regional food. LOL

I love this topic :) We just got home from Nashville (TN) and went to Jack's BBQ downtown. They had 6 different kinds of regional sauces to put on your ribs. One of them was "Magic White" and it was empty. Since i had never had white BBQ sauce, i asked them to refill it for me. White BBQ sauce tasted like Mayonnaise! LOL What a disappointment! (But the other 5 were all awesome).

Costco poutine is the best! Sounds crazy, but it's so yummy!

This for sure!
Also when we lived down east seafood was obviously huge there. Their McDonalds even had McLobster. Hubby tried it once and said it was terrible. :giggle

i dont think were famous for anything in Enlgand.....Oh wait may be its the good old Roast Dinner or a English full breakfast

Meh Swenson's. I didn't grow up here, so maybe that's the problem, but I wasn't impressed. Five Guys has better burgers.

There's a SkyWay a mile from my house and I've never been there? It looks odd, like it's a building with no windows. Not very inviting. LOL
