I wanted to share a book I read recently and really liked.

I just finished the book called The Golden Couple, by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. If you have the chance, read the synopsis. Though the synopsis didn't totally grab my attention, it was a really good book. A couple twists and turns and I was really surprised, but I don't want to give too much information!

I'm 13 books away from my yearly challenge (124).... I have a few I want to read, but I'd love some suggestions. If they are Amazon Prime or Kindle Unlimited, even better, lol!

I am currently reading It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. It's ok. I'm struggling, and I'm not sure why.

    I'm planning to read:
Thirteen... (I'm weird and got the books, so I'll start at book 1 in that series.)
The Last Thing He Told Me
    The Jigsaw Man
    The Seat Filler/The Paid Bridesmaid

Thank you! Wooo hoooo... I do have a few what I call fluff books to fill in too! Fun, mindless, supernatural mysteries and series books! I love series! I'm adding these to my list!

@jk703 I love Patricia Cornwell's books ... The Kay Scarpetta series is really great and she is coming out with her 26th Scarpetta book "Livid" today!

If you haven't read them you should try... (Kay Scarpetta is like Quincy) such interesting stories and crime solving.

I've read a number of hers too! Wonderful storyteller and I love Kay as a character! The Eve Duncan series is amazing by Iris Johannsen. I love series books, lol! I get to really know the characters!

I really enjoyed 13 and The Last Thing He Told Me. :agree

Currently I'm reading the Red Queen series which is YA fantasy type series that's pretty easy to read. It's a lot like Hunger Games and other YA series that I've read, but it's different enough that it's keeping my interest.

The Push and The Good Sister and Project Hail Mary are recent 5 stars reads for me.

I can't believe how much you've read! I am reading so incredibly slowly this year. Too many other things on my plate I guess and I keep getting distracted or falling asleep. :giggle I'm three books behind in my yearly goal and doubt I'll even make it to my 30 books. Sigh.

Last night I started The Seat Filler. I giggled - so far, light and easy.

What is The Red Queen series? I goggled and found Queen Song? Victoria Aveyard?

The Push makes me think of We Need To Talk About Kevin, a movie. Though I haven't seen it yet.

Project Hail Mary sounds so interesting!

Here's the first book, but yeah, you found the right author. Sorry I forgot to link that one. :giggle

I just heard about We Need To Talk About Kevin from my bookclub and someone said it was a must read too. I forgot to look that one up and put it on my list.

I really loved Project Hail Mary. I already want to re-read it. :giggle

I had to google because I always confuse this one with Red Rising. Too many dystopian red titles! Have you read that one?

I'm adding that to my list! I haven't read it, and it sounds interesting!

I got another recommendation last night at my book club... The Last Flight!

I just finished The Seat Filler, so now I don't know what to start! :giggle

I did read most of that series. We read the first one here as part of the TLP book club. I liked the first batch that I read, but the latest one was boring.

I just read The Last Thing He Told Me... it was a super quick read, I enjoyed it.

I just finished Suburban Hell by Maureen Kilmer this morning... I surprisingly enjoyed it.

The Summer I Turned Pretty was a light quick read.

The Lost Girls of Willowbrook was hard to put down once I got going on it.

The Dictionary of Lost Words was an interesting read.

A Spindle Splintered was a pretty interesting retelling of Sleeping Beauty

And finally... The Great Believers was a heartbreaking story of the Boys Town neighborhood of Chicago during the time of AIDS

That's probably why I read it!

I don't know if I read the rest of the series. I don't always.

I read The Good Sister and Project Hail Mary and really enjoyed them both. I am so far behind my normal reading total. Generally I read about 50 or 60 books yearly but this year I am at only 21 books. It's been a busy year and not as much time for reading.

I liked The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave, Such A Quiet Place by Megan Miranda and The Neighbor's Secret by L. Allison Heller.

I put The Jigsaw Man on reserve.

Haven't been reading much but listen to Audible. From that I enjoyed Rae's recommendation of Project Hail Mary. I also enjoyed
    - Hyperion from Dan Simmons,
    - The Sixth Extinction (non fiction) from Elizabeth Kolbert,
    - The Magician series from Charlie N. Holmberg (The Master Magician, The Glass Magician, The Paper Magician), and - Greenlights from Mathew McConaughey.

Currently listening to Michelle Obama's Becoming (and enjoying how normal and down-to-earth she is).

I have to totally agree about the Project Hair Mary recommendation. It is such a good book and the Audible version is so well done. I highly recommend it.

I recently finished David Rosenfelt's "Santa's Little Yelper's" and I highly recommend it if you like mysteries and dogs. It's the 26th book in the series but you can totally read it as a stand alone. However, if you are looking to start a great series, the first book is "Open and Shut."
