i'm probably late to the game on this one, but we had this one pot pasta last night and it was delicious. i used the pan i normally cook pasta in. i excluded the crushed red pepper (picky kids) and increased the pasta to a full pound and the water to 5.5 cups. i couldn't believe how easy it was and how tasty. next time i might try adding shrimp near the end. i think it would round out the dish so much! http://www.marthastewart.com/978784/one-pan-pasta have you tried anything new lately? share!
Oh yummy! That looks so fresh and delicious!! I am into av0cados right now...even more so than usual. I made this delish chicken avocado salad for my lunch. Photo and recipe from family fresh meals
No photo, but I recently made a steamed fillet of sole topped with shrimp and a lemon-butter-garlic sauce. It was lovely. Kind of made up the sauce as I went along and it all turned out ok.
Waw, I have never heard of one pot pasta!!! The pictures make me go mmmmmmmm.... I'll definitely check the link out!!! And the avocado salad, well the picture is huge but I'll definitely try it! Thank you ladies and keep them coming!
I think I have that pinned, I need to make it. This isn't new but it's one of my go to dishes. I have a vegetable spiralizer and I've subbed the sliced zucchini and pasta for zucchini noodles and it's tasty too. My kids love it and it's super fast and easy for a quick dinner.
why? oh why? now I HAVE to try the one pot pastas!!!!!!! (shouldn't be eating carbs/sugars) I'll reduce some of my food photos and come share the recipes, but as from Pinterest, we recently made this http://uk.pinterest.com/pin/1900024817192672/ ours didn't come out as tidy as those ones though LOL
I make sweet potato hash and we love them. Our neighbors love it so much that for our gatherings that's what they request from me. So there is usually cupcakes, chips, salsa, drinks, fruits, and my sweet potato hash. LOL!!! ingredients: 4 lbs of sweet potato 2 green peppers 1 large onion garlic powder crushed garlic cumin salt pepper olive oil onion powder 1. Peel the sweet potato and cut them in little squares. 2. Put them on a cookie sheet. 3. Cut all the veggies and toss on top of the sweet potatoes. 4. Toss everything else on top of it and mix. 5. Put in your oven @ 375 for 20-25 mins. (check half way and flip them).
I'm a total loser in the kitchen, but wanted to post something here so I can follow this thread Love the avocado in chicken salad! Need to step up and try some of these things.
I've been making this since my kids were young and they still love it as much now. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/8866530491261628/

I am going to try this Buffalo Quinoa Bites tonight, I will have to let you know how they turn out. We love quinoa at our house. Regarding the one pot pasta, I am going to have to give that recipe a try. Several months ago (maybe last summer), I tried Martha Stewart's version and we were less than impressed, it just didn't have a ton of flavor. It looks like the major differences were Martha used fresh grape tomatoes and water and the other recipe uses vegetable broth and canned tomatoes. I am all about the ease of the recipe and want to try it again to see if we like it this time!
i really mushed the tomatoes while it was cooking to get the flavor out. maybe that's the difference?
mmm, pinning this one, we love quinoa bites at our house too and i make this version a lot as a side to pasta http://www.pinterest.com/pin/9288742955801236/
