For those who use Amazon for ebooks, check your account! Many people got a refund from the anti-trust law suit. I was very excited to see mine today.
DH got one but I didn't, which seemed odd until I remembered he had a Kindle way before I did; I was all paper for a long time lol (and we have separate accounts). Anyway, he was happily surprised with his amount. Now the question is, have you spent your refund yet??? If not, I bet it's burning a hole in your pocket!
I haven't spent mine yet. I was shocked at how big it was...it's going to require some thought on how I should spend it.
I have a whopping $1.57. I mainly get books that are free, can be borrowed, or from the library. Plus, I'd say I haven't been reading the last few years as much as I used to. School life and homework seem to have taken over for now.
Yep, I got an email telling me I had a refund... too bad I don't buy many books, so my refund was only $3.14. I also got another $7 or so from Barnes and Nobles. I'll still use it though!
We got ours! It is really mostly due to my husband who reads much more than I do and was an early adopter of the kindle!
Me too!! $1.57!! Most of my Kindle books were borrowed from the library's e-book collection though, so I'm actually surprised that I got anything.
I don't know if it applies to overseas customers. You can check your account here: Amazon > Your Account > Amazon Wallet > View Gift Card Balance and Activity
I had no idea this one was coming, so I was pretty surprised to see the email. I was also pretty surprised at the amount - a little over $45! Am I right that the refund needs to be spent on books? I seem to remember that from the last anti-trust refund they sent out.
Yesterday when I got mine, I was thinking that yours must be huge. I was excited to get $40. I didn't really think I'd bought that many Kindle books, but I guess over the years I have. I'm also excited because my husband and I have separate accounts, so we both got them and don't have to share. He didn't get an email from them, so he was glad I told him about it or he wouldn't have seen it. I'm so out of the habit of buying books lately, it will take me awhile to figure out what to get. I have so many lists. But I know there are a few I have been having a hard time finding at the library.
It is...I am almost embarrassed to say...it was $247.90. I was a very early adopter of Kindle and have pretty much a book a day habit, so I guess it makes sense in that context. However, it makes me shudder to think how much I must have actually spent on books over the years. Yikes!
I apparently bought too many free or library books: There is no eBook settlement credit associated with this account. Probably because I'd rather have digi supplies.
oh my gosh Laura!! @lmccandless!! That's a lot of books!! I'm like Courtney @bestcee, I didn't get anything!! I'm masterful at using my library resources so yeah...
