Day 10 - Moving Forward Photo Challenge

So whilst this looks like a simple snow scene page to an outsider, it holds much more depth and meaning. And it’s the photo itself, and the supporting elements that tells a deeper, hidden story.

It's about neurodiversity, co-regulating, parenting challenges, mental health breaks and why walking is so significant to us in our lives. It's about being on a pathway, a little lost, but moving forward and about the little waypoints that mark where we are at any given time.

MOC Day 14 - Drop Caps

My favourite challenge yet and I'll definitely use this technique again!!

This story is about being back to Plan A in terms of how Keaton travels to his new school that he started in September.

From the outset he was eligible for home to school transport due to his SEND yet this was not provided to us. The only safe way to get him to school and juggle the school run of sibling AND work was to use ubers 4 x a day which put huge financial strain on us plus increased anxiety for Keaton with regards to routine and the travel to school and home each day.

After a thorough appeal our case was overturned immediately and his transport was set up in November. This has provided great routine and predictability for him and given him a new sense of independence as he's able to get to school safely on his own.

When I see him getting on the mini bus each morning I see my boy growing up.

Product credits in the gallery!

MOC Day 19

Whilst it doesn't look anything like the original, I was inspired by No.4 by Kathy Kramer. It was the painted LOVE in a quad that inspired me, how it was layered with ephemera, and how the botanicals were on top and then the sentiment behind the page and the photo.

I came up with this! Totally my own but heavily inspired by that layout - I probably wouldn't have made this without the challenge :)
