Well I had to have a go at this, since I told Rachel I was going to start doing some challenges, lol. So here is my page for this challenge:

I started out by more of less duplicating her page, then I made it mine by changing up some elements and adding other bits and pieces I liked from the kit. I chose to use 'I do my own Thing'
 
I lifted this page:

I was inspired by how the background with the color/type was tied in to the journaling.
On my page, I used the large "P" to tie in my last name (which was new on the day of the photo, as it was my wedding day and I changed my last name to that of my husband)
 
Phew!...Finally Got My Layout(s) Finished...This Past Weekend Was Super Busy & The Next One Will Be Just As Busy...But That Being Said...I Actually Ended Up Making 2 Layouts For This Challenge & Each One Is Quite Different Than The Other...I Really Like Both Of Them & I Had A Tough Time Choosing One Over The Other...But In The End I Went With The Layout I Call "Peared"...

This Is The Layout I Scraplifted:

*At First Glance At My Layout You May Or May Not See The Similarities But There Are Many...The First Inspiration Was All The Different Shades Of Red Used Here...Like That...I Used Multiple Shades Of Red In My Layout But Illustrated My Point Using Multiple Fall/Autumn Background Photos (4)...I Also Loved The Worn Weathered Look Of This Layout & That Reminded Me Of Fall & Autumn & That Rustic Feel...Hence The Use Of Multiple Fall/Autumn Pictures...But In Particular...The Stark Looking Black Tall Trees Surrounding Everything In My Layout...Also Mimicking The Use Of Black As Another Contrast...Also There's The Contrast Use Of All The White That Stands Out & I Too Used White As A Contrast To Stand Out...To Mimic The Beige Banner...I Used Multiple WA In Beige & One Large Photo Frame Also To Illustrate My Point...And Lastly The Use Of Black WA Here Further Illustrates The Subject Matter Here & I Too Used Black WA To Further Illustrate My Theme...*

This mixed media stuff is hard for me! I loved the M3 kit this month. Hopefully I will get the hang of it!
I chose this beautiful layout by Joanne Capel-Cure to scraplift. I really liked the photo off to the side and the layers of paint underneath. I did not capture it like I wanted (the page kept evolving), but I am happy with my page!
