Last Saturday I felt like my SwL MIS page sufficed for my Scrappy Project 52, even though the photos were from December 30. Today I felt like going through all my photos so far in January and calling January 1-9 "Week 1." I have taken photos every day, but not all were worthy of a scrapbook page so on this page I have one day "missing" and one day represented twice. Whatever. I just want to make at least one scrapbook layout every week this year. Something neat I realized: I'm kind of starting over again where I was in 2009, when I FIRST encountered the term "Project 52." It was in a digiscrap forum, I'd only been digiscrapping for a couple years, and it was the year before I would consider studying photography and a few years before I'd start doing photography projects instead of scrapping projects. Also, look at the page proportions! They're 8x10 because I decided to print in Blurb 8x10 photo book format. So I managed to scrap non-12x12 a decade ago for my P52. I just didn't think of making both pages together, I guess. That's a screenshot of the pages from my files. I'm loving scrapping in 8.5x11 this month. All my MOC pages except the one required to be 12x12 are 8.5x11. I'm excited to have finally, after TWO years of not printing anything, to have settled on a format. Thanks for the encouragement and info Marilyn @mcurtt And thanks @FarrahJobling too, for the encouragement to do a P52 because I didn't plan to until you posted about it.
I'm planning on doing my project pages the same as I try to do every year (still working on completing several years, and hoping to be better this year!) - Monthly focused, but with as many pages as needed to tell the story of the month (so some pages are "weekly", some are single days, etc). Here's my first three so far for January. I also mix in regular pages when there is a bigger story to tell. I will eventually get it printed as 8x8, because I've really been enjoying that size books from shutterfly. Today's MOC challenge helped me to do the right hand side for my fourth page.
So I did it! I switched up to 8.5 x 11 I have a plan and I hope it works out!! I'll let you know hahaha Still using Liz's amazing templates, just resized them a bit Here's Week 1
I honestly want to get back into scrapbooking again. I haven't done it since I moved because of the sheer overwhelmingness of it all. I know it is a good problem to have, being so close to my favorite place. I just don't even know where to start. Haha.
I am really finding it hard to find time to do these this month but god willing more of a routine will come in February. I do like the 4x8 TN and even have two weeks in my album! That's what sold me...being able to easily feel and see a completion of weeks.
