Pokemon... catch tehm all...

Don't thank me for putting the song in your head, but today Pokemon is 30 years old!!!
I'm sure you've all seen / played Pokemon.

Do you play / have you played Pokemon ?
What is your favourite Pokemon ?

Do you play / have you played Pokemon ?
I have been playing Pokémon Go for many years and even though I take breaks from time to time, I always come back to it. I know that some of you play too. Isn't it, @ninigoesdigi , @weaselwatchr , @jagruti patel :agree ?
Besides, if some of them play, we can be friends :happyhug

What is your favourite Pokemon ?
I don't really have a favourite Pokémon, they (almost) all have a use, a special feature that I like.
My eldest son loves Mewtwo, for him there is no Pokémon above it.

I tried some of the old Game Boy games, Red I think it was. My son was obsessed for a while, and I think he still watches the cartoons from time to time.

I think many of the Pokemons are really cute. Bulbasaur is cool, and Eevee is the cutest. I think (s)he is my favorite ... we almost got the same name.

Do you play / have you played Pokémon?
No, I haven't. I think I was past that age already, haha. I did like the cartoons, though. I watched with my daughter when she was old enough.
What is your favourite Pokémon?
PIKACHU.....
Pika is also the favourite Pokémon of my almost 4-year-old grandnephew. He's completely Pikachu-minded.

30 years is impressive! I have only played a little bit; my son has played the most out of our family. I’ll have to ask him his favorite; I only know Pikachu by name.

Yes! I started playing Pokemon Go because my son wanted to be able to do trades when he started out and didn't have any close by PG friends. I then became obsessed and love playing. My son has since stopped! I am friend with @Gaelle and @ninigoesdigi on PG!

My favourite Pokemon, not really sure, I like a few. Pikachu for sure, but also like Stuful and Chespin!

Do you play / have you played Pokemon? Yes! I played Pokemon Go while pregnant (and so now get nauseous every time I try to look at it and current am the house leader in Pokemon TCG Pocket. My brother collects and plays actual Pokemon cards weekly and we are sure to stress what an expensive hobby it is to my son. :p He has Sword, Violet, Snap, and Legends Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. I played Yellow, Snap, Pinball, and Puzzle League as a kid. (I also have Pokemon leggings that I wear frequently to match the kiddo's Pokemon shirts, pants, hoodie, and now shorts)

What is your favourite Pokemon? Please don't ask me to choose! My current favorite in TCG Pocket is Decidueye because a) Rowlet is super cute, b) owls in general are really cool, and c) it's a very powerful card when played right.

PS: in trying to make sure I spelled Decidueye right, I found that if you Google something Pokemon-related today, it will prompt you to play a game where you can catch the original 151 by Googling their names

Yes you can! And it's not just today. I've seen it pop up before today!

Do you play / have you played Pokemon ?
Yes! My son was (and still is at 23) a big fan and we have played together on the DS games. He also got me the Arceus game which is more of an open world game and I've played that some although whenever I put it down, I forget how to play again.

I played the card game with him a few times back in the day too. I've probably spent the most time playing Pokemon Go -- collecting those cute Pokemon all over the world with him and other members of my family.

What is your favourite Pokemon ?
Piplup!

My oldest (22) still plays Pokemon Go once in a while, just to get out and go to new places.

We have a lot of cards, but nowhere near pristine condition, so they aren't that valuable. We do have a Pokemon collectors book that is worth maybe $40 used.

I haven't ever played Pokemon, but my boys were VERY into collecting the cards and playing when they were younger. I think they both played Pokemon Go when that came out too, but I don't think they do anymore.

I’ve never played but my oldest son was and still is very into Pokemon. Last night he mentioned that today marks 30 years! He has a huge card collection and still watches the show sometimes.

@jagruti patel that is what I hear. People start with kids and adults keep on playing while kids get bored lol
a lot of middle age people are still playing like me for example. And I even have poke friends in heir 70's!! Their grand children started and they are more hooked than the kids are. lol

I haven't watched the series. My cousin did and I remember sending pokemon gifts when I would come back from Japan. I think it was a little too after my young time and I never got to watch it on TV, nor played the cards. But with my tendancies to like collecting, I think I got hooked in the shiny ones (they are different colored version of a pokemon and more rare. For example pikachu would be a darker yellow-oangy version of itself. Some have very different colors and those are the ones I love most. Anyway. I still play but only pokemon go. I don't care much for battle unless there is a new pokemon or a shiny option maybe.

I think it's neat that the students I was teaching in the 1990's are the ones who introduced me to Pokemon and 30 years later it's still popular. I've never cared that much about it and my kids barely got into it either . . . with the except of Pokemon GO. In 2017 we would go out on walks in a variety of places, all of us with our phones with Pokemon GO installed, and play. I love maps, so that aspect of the game attracted me, and I loved the way I could "view" the Pokemon in the real world in front of me and photograph it. I have a lot of photos of Pokemon in many different places I visited in 2017, from the grocery store to hiking locations.

I thought the Pokemon are cute but never had a favorite.

Sometimes when I'm driving through town I'll see a little blue car with the back window stuffed with plushy Pikachu of various sizes.

I've seen quite a few students wearing Pikachu hoodies too.
