My daughter entered a contest by our local newspaper for a chance to sing The Star Spangled Banner at our local Fredericksburg (Virginia) agricultural fair this summer. The finalists are chosen by a public vote. We would be very grateful for your vote!

Just visit http://contests.fredericksburg.com/Oh-Say-Can-You-Sing-2/gallery on either computer or phone and scroll down a bit until you see her. You might need to click Load More. I've circled her video in this image. You just have to click on the video, then the Vote button, and enter your email address. It will also ask for your phone number but I did not share that, and I unchecked the two boxes offering news and stuff from our local newspaper. Then I think there was one more button called Submit or maybe it was Vote again. Thank you so much for your help! When she wins I will probably record her performance, so I will post it in this thread. You can vote until July 20 at 2pm ET.

I hear you Donna @djp332 ! Everyone in my family can sing except me. I like to sing when I'm doing chores and driving, but I can't seem to project my voice for real singing. And I have trouble remembering lyrics. What Rhiannon does with music is like magic to me. Besides singing, she also plays piano, guitar, and ukulele.

 

In my skimming of the rules I didn't see anything about that, but since we have to input our email address, I suspect that's a way to prevent someone from voting with the same email address. However, I bet it wouldn't be cheating too badly if, say, you used a family member's email address, with their permission of course!
