Surely as an ex Pizza Hut worker I should know that today is National Pizza Day but....I had no idea!

Do you like pizza?

Yes though I haven't had it for ages now

Do you buy it from a pizza place, grocery store or make it yourself? In a previous life it was either from our local Domino's store (very occasionally) or the grocery store but now with my food intolerances my only option is DIY at home which I'm not mad about.

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings?
Hawaiian with BBQ Base Sauce or Meat lovers with BBQ Base Sauce but no BBQ swirl - they were my two go to orders when working at Pizza Hut. I used to get a spinach & mozzarella frozen pizza that I really liked as well. Now days, it's whatever leftover bits and pieces I have that need using up.

What is your fave crust or base?
Thin crust if at all possible

Yes!

I prefer a local pizza place because I’m lazy but we make really good homemade pizza too.

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings?
Ham, pineapple and slivered almonds (the almonds are a must try!)

What is your fave crust or base?
Stuffed crust!

There is an awesome pizza place in my town so I usually go there. But I will eat pizza from other places as well.

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings?
Ham and pineapple. We had this a year ago when the 4 of us cousins got together. The other 3 had never had that combination. One of the cousins has been with me through my surgeries and when we got pizza for dinner the night before my last surgery, she suggested the ham and pineapple (although we requested no jalapeno peppers on it since that was what was shown on the menu). The day I got out of the hospital for the first surgery was my birthday and 3 of us were together for dinner... we had ham and pineapple pizza.

What is your fave crust or base?
I prefer a thin crust. I can eat more if thin crust, thick crust fills me up too fast and when I eat pizza I want the toppings!

Yes to all three. Best is to eat at the restaurant.

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings?
So many. Chevre, olives, walnuts, and honey is divine. Vegetarian "chicken", curry, and banana. Mozzarella, olives, onion, and the add arugula on top when it,s done. If I make myself, I add whatever veggies we have at home.

What is your fave crust or base?
Thin, but not too thin.

I've planned tacos for dinner today. Now I want pizza. LOL

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings? salami and olives, hubby loves bacon, feta and avo.

Do you like pizza? I luv pizza! Yum!!! (And yes, I ate pizza yesterday to celebrate National Pizza Day.)

Do you buy it from a pizza place, grocery store or make it yourself? We do all of them, but mostly we purchase from Pappa Murphy's and bake at home. Pappa Murphys is our fave!

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings? Always order traditional crust, sauce, sausage, black olives, green olives, onions and extra cheese.

My immigrant great grandfather owned a pizza restaurant back in the early 1900s (and I grew up in New York) so pizza is in my blood. Absolutely love it. My favorite is probably just pepperoni but I also love pesto pizzas. I prefer NY style pizza - mostly thin in the middle but with a puffier outer crust ring. Yummy.
 
I have not bought a pizza in at least 14 years! My husband makes his own pizza dough and we make our own NY style pizzas. We love the pepperoni and extra cheese only. He also makes us flatbread pizzas with basil pesto and also a tomato & ricotta cheese pesto style which has burrata cheese instead of mozzerella on it.. yum!

We usually buy it. Little Caesars most often because it's fast and cheap lol. My personal favorite is Sbarro, but we don't have one very close.

I'm a veggie gal, and I love spinach, mushrooms, and feta.

I love a garlic flavored crust and a pesto or white base.
 
Do you like pizza? It's not a favorite food of mine. I typically eat it because it's the choice at many get-togethers and it's an easy food.

What is your fave toppings or combination of toppings? Mushrooms is my favorite topping. I'm one of those who likes pineapple on my pizza too. If I get a little fancier I like green's like basil and/or arugula.

Gotta ask - I googled NY style pizza, and to me that looks like ... pizza. So, how do non-NY style pizza look in America?

Some non NY style would be deep dish Chicago style ... NY style generally is a thin pizza crust in the center with the puffy edging... I googled so you can see the different pizzas we have here :)

Oh my ... who knew pizza could be so complicated? I thought it was only the toppings. Don't get the deep dish one though? looks like a pie to me ... I'm totally confused now. LOL

Lol funny thing though in NY we ask for a pizza pie if we order it.. anywhere else they do not call it a pie.. deep dish is a deep crust with lots of filling and yup more like a pie :) we are confusing here in the states.. so sorry my friend!

Did you say banana? I have never heard of this as a topping! Very interesting!
