1. What toppings are your favorite? for me, pretty much everything but without the traditional processed meats - my must haves are mushrooms, zucchini slices (i add tandoori paste to give them a kick), olives, spinach and pineapple - if i have eggplant, that's good on it too ( pizza also tends to be a 'use the left overs or nearing end of life bottom of the fridge veggies' dinner so it's mostly a tasty, reduce food waste dinner to us)
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? making it ourselves is just easier, no one here likes the same things (or the same quantities of everything, there's always too much cheese for me on pizza place ones and the only flavour i ever get from them is salt) and whenever DH has bought one to keep in the freezer as a 'just in case' type dinner, we end up adding a heap to it anyway
3a. Favorite alternative crust?
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or - haven't tried them yet, i put cauli in everything else and have made cauliflower parmigana for me but the rest of the fam wasn't interested so i doubt they'd bother with cauli crust
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? just lots of herbs in the dough and throwing wholemeal flour and some psyllium husk in there
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? sometimes thin goes mushy or takes extra long if i use mashed pumpkin instead of tomato paste but if DH has made the dough & we make bases, they're usually half way between thin and deep anyway; otherwise i keep these greek flatbreads in the freezer that are a good size and pretty thin for our 'reduce food waste' pizza dinners
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? - um probably the zucchini and tandoori, maybe the pumpkin mash - i struggle to find pizza on a menu b/c i want literally everything on it but unless it's leftover chicken etc, it's usually meatless, although i do draw the line at potato on a pizza, i know mum orders this one with potato and rosemary of something on it and that's just like making a sandwich with potato on it to me - i wouldn't even consider it so it's strange to put it on a pizza to me
And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? i know this is such a dividing question but i'm on the absolutely side
