It's Friday. I want pizza for dinner. So....

1. What toppings are your favorite?
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked?
3a. Favorite alternative crust?
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust?
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish?
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)?

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?

1. What toppings are your favorite?
Pineapple and pepperoni. Although, I do really enjoy mushrooms, olives, sausage, and pepperoni. No onions or green peppers for me!
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? Both. Today I'm leaning towards bake at home.
3a. Favorite alternative crust?
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? I do enjoy a good garlic crust as long as it's not too strong!
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Lately, thin crust. I like being able to enjoy the toppings and deep dish covers the topping flavors.
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)?
Pineapple? (which is why I asked the last question!)
And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?

Absolutely! Tomatoes are fruit and people put them on pizza. Actually, I really like the contrast of a spicy pepperoni with a sweet pineapple. When done right, it's fabulous!

1. What toppings are your favorite?
We have a local fire roasted pizza place that is to-die for! My favorite there is called the Parma- gorgonzola, olive oil, pecorino, mozzarella, provolone finished with prosciutto and truffle oil. SO good! I also really like Thai pizza too!
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked?
Both- we do the bake at home pretty often because it's easy & fast!
3a. Favorite alternative crust?
I like cauliflower crust- my family not so much!
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? All the garlic... mmmm...
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish?
Thin for sure!
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)?
I'm a firm believer in contrasting flavors- sweet & spicy are one of my faves! I love pineapple with spicy peppers!
And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? HECK YES!!

1. What toppings are your favorite? I'll answer your last question here... ham and pineapple from a certain pizza place in town. Otherwise, pepperoni and sausage.
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? Prefer delivery from certain pizza place but will buy heat at home on occassion
3a. Favorite alternative crust? N/A
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? N/A I'm boring as far as crust is concerned. Regular crust for me.
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Thin crust all the way.
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? Evidently it is pineapple.

It has been almost 2 years since I have had pizza and I can't wait to have it again. Maybe on my birthday 6 weeks from today which is that 2 year mark if things progress nicely since the surgery yesterday.

1. What toppings are your favorite? All of them but green peppers and fishy ones.
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? Delivery unless we are going to Blaze.
3a. Favorite alternative crust? Are you kidding me? Bread lover here!
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? I haven't tried one yet...
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Regular crust but I used to get the deep dish.
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? I love BBQ sauce and chicken pizza. The "cheeseburger" pizza is good, but I don't like the "taco" pizza. I love the spinach alfredo chicken pizza.

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? Of course - pineapple and mushroom, or pineapple and ham, or pineapple and chicken.

Have you been to Blaze Pizza yet? It is a chain with a make your own kind pizza where for 1 price you go down the line and tell them what toppings you want (kind of like Moe's). They have lots to choice from. Then they fire bake it for you. I love garlic and last time I got both the roasted and chopped - okay that was too much. And they have half pizza boxes in the lobby for your leftovers to take home.

:circles
I'm hoping for you!!! As my kid says, around here: Pizza is life!

Have you been to Blaze Pizza yet?
I went once. I wasn't super impressed, so I haven't been back. It was newly opened though, so maybe they hadn't found their rhythm?

I'm so cheap! LOL! We did delivery one day and my son was shocked to learn that you can have pizza delivered to you at home! Seriously, I think he told all his friends how awesome that was!

I'm a firm believer in contrasting flavors- sweet & spicy are one of my faves! I love pineapple with spicy peppers!
DH likes to add jalapenos to everything. Me? NOPE! But I totally get the sweet/spicy contrast.

I'll start off by saying that I am not a big fan of pizza, at least not traditional pizza :giggle But, I do like alternatives!
1. What toppings are your favorite? I'm a veggie girl - spinach, mushrooms, jalapenos, tomatoes, feta. The thing is, I don't like any kind of red sauce on pizza. I like pesto or alfredo or garlic sauce. I also like buffalo chicken pizza with a ranch base.
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? I don't like frozen pizza at all. I will eat it if I need something quick, but avoid it if I can. I do like to make it with a store bought crust from time to time, and like to grill it, but I prefer store baked and delivered if possible!
3a. Favorite alternative crust? Just regular crust for me, please.
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? Lots of garlic!!!
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? I like them both
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? I do occasionally like a good taco pizza or cheeseburger pizza.

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? Meh. Some love it, I'm just not a fan.

1. What toppings are your favorite? for me, pretty much everything but without the traditional processed meats - my must haves are mushrooms, zucchini slices (i add tandoori paste to give them a kick), olives, spinach and pineapple - if i have eggplant, that's good on it too ( pizza also tends to be a 'use the left overs or nearing end of life bottom of the fridge veggies' dinner so it's mostly a tasty, reduce food waste dinner to us)

2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked?
making it ourselves is just easier, no one here likes the same things (or the same quantities of everything, there's always too much cheese for me on pizza place ones and the only flavour i ever get from them is salt) and whenever DH has bought one to keep in the freezer as a 'just in case' type dinner, we end up adding a heap to it anyway

3a. Favorite alternative crust?

(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or - haven't tried them yet, i put cauli in everything else and have made cauliflower parmigana for me but the rest of the fam wasn't interested so i doubt they'd bother with cauli crust

3b. Favorite Flavored crust? just lots of herbs in the dough and throwing wholemeal flour and some psyllium husk in there

4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? sometimes thin goes mushy or takes extra long if i use mashed pumpkin instead of tomato paste but if DH has made the dough & we make bases, they're usually half way between thin and deep anyway; otherwise i keep these greek flatbreads in the freezer that are a good size and pretty thin for our 'reduce food waste' pizza dinners

5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? - um probably the zucchini and tandoori, maybe the pumpkin mash - i struggle to find pizza on a menu b/c i want literally everything on it but unless it's leftover chicken etc, it's usually meatless, although i do draw the line at potato on a pizza, i know mum orders this one with potato and rosemary of something on it and that's just like making a sandwich with potato on it to me - i wouldn't even consider it so it's strange to put it on a pizza to me

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?
i know this is such a dividing question but i'm on the absolutely side

1. What toppings are your favorite? Pepperoni and Mushroom. Except I can't have the pepperoni anymore, so it's become marinated artichoke hearts and mushrooms lately.
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? Store baked because gluten-free crusts somehow work out better that way.
3a. Favorite alternative crust? I can only eat gluten-free crust that's free from soy and/or nuts, but NO cauliflower crust! I tried it once and it was disgusting!!! All I could taste was cauliflower. Yuck. :overreact:groan
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust?
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Medium. Yes, I'm a non-conformist. lol!
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? Marinated artichoke hearts, perhaps? I love them!

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? Yes. Because those of us who can't eat meat need some variety to choose from!

1. What toppings are your favorite? Cheese, cheese and more cheese
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? I prefer carry out
3a. Favorite alternative crust? none
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? Plain
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Deep dish
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)?

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?
Yes

1. What toppings are your favorite? Pepperoni and mushroom
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? We do a combination of both, but I prefer restaurant pizza.
3a. Favorite alternative crust? N/A
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? N/A
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Deep dish or just traditional
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? I feel like almost everything is fair game for a pizza. I like spicy peppers, feta, chicken, bbq sauce (Thai pizza), etc.

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? It's ok ... not my favorite, but I'll eat it ;)

Coincidentally, we went out for pizza tonight.

1. What toppings are your favorite? The kind I had tonight - bacon chicken spinach artichoke with a creamy garlic sauce!
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? I like going to the restaurant we went to tonight the best. They do wood-fired pizzas. We also have a place in town that assembles the pizza for you and you bake it at home. Then delivery pizza, with heating frozen pizza as a last resort.
3a. Favorite alternative crust? I've not tried any alternative crust although I have a cauliflower crust in the freezer.
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? If there's garlic salt on the crust, I'm in heaven!
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? Middle of the road - hand tossed.
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? The spinach & artichoke might count. In New York City, I had a delicious slice of chicken, broccoli, and spinach pizza once.

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? Yes, if it's with ham or Canadian bacon.

1. What toppings are your favorite? either chicken and cranberry without the brie or camembert cheese or spinach, cheese
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? heat at home
3a. Favorite alternative crust?
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or - I’ve often made my own pizzas with wraps as the base
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? none, if you saw what goes in some of those flavoured stuffed type crusts you’d understand
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? thin and crispy......goes way back to when I worked for Pizza Hut in my teens and early twenties
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? i’m pretty normal when it comes to toppings though I do love spinach, pumpkin and cheese

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? sometimes

It's Friday. I want pizza for dinner. So....

1. What toppings are your favorite? Italian sausage & mushroom
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? Either way, cuz Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza is amazing!
3a. Favorite alternative crust? bagel
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? Garlic & stuffed with cheese. Oh, & I really love how Round Table has a little cornmeal on the bottom.
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? I prefer deep, but am sooo flexible.
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? pine nuts. There used to be a place by the ocean, they had Smokey the Bear. It had buffalo mozzarella & pine nuts, so good! Also a San Francisco thing, I love clams with white sauce on a pizza.

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?
Dad was born in Hawaii, pineapple's a staple. Pineapple on all the things!

1. What toppings are your favorite? Pepperoni & Extra Cheese
2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? We make our own from scratch... our own dough, doctor jar sauce with herbs from the garden
3a. Favorite alternative crust? none
3b. Favorite Flavored crust? none.. we do add garlic powder when we are making the dough for a slight garlic flavor to the crust
4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? thin
5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)? no oddities although I also like greek style -spinach, garlic and feta in a white sauce for a change of pace

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza?
no

After thinking on this topic some more, I remembered a pizza that I loved but haven't had for 25 years. I worked in another town and about once a month our office of 7 would go to a lunch buffet at a pizza place. I always made a dash for a certain pizza on the buffet... streusel. A pizza smothered with cinnamon and sugar and topped with an awesomely delicious icing. Tasted like cinnamon rolls especially when hot out of the oven. If you have a Godfather's Pizza near you, be sure to try a slice of this heavenly pizza!

@HavaDrPepper -- aw the days of dessert pizzas! I do have 2 recipes for dessert pizzas. One is a Triple Peanut Butter Pizza and I forget what the other is called but it is topped with M&Ms, mini marshmellows, and peanuts.

And yes, the pizza buffet places here have all kinds of desert pizza. One even has a pizza with the Bavarian creme that you often see on/in doughnuts. Yum.

First, I barely make pizza anymore. I've been lactose intolerant for over a decade now, I'm tired of the ONE cheeseless frozen pizza option I've found (Amy's brand), we rarely order delivery anymore because of finances (but Domino's is accommodating of special requests!), and I haven't been interested in baking my own cheeseless pizzas.

1. What toppings are your favorite? a variety of a few veggies

2. Do you like to buy the heat at home or store baked? I always thought store baked was better. I especially disliked frozen pizza when I was a teen. I think it has improved since then.

3a. Favorite alternative crust? I thought the cauliflower crust was ok when I tried it once. But my child with the wheat allergy has no interest in pizza, and I can eat wheat, so there's no need for me to spend extra for specialty crusts.
(I've been hearing fabulous things about cauliflower crust, and I saw a zucchini crust recently) or
3b. Favorite Flavored crust?

4.Thin crust or Deep Dish? I prefer something in between.

5. What topping do you like that might be odd to others (other countries, other people, anyone else)?

And, of course,
Does pineapple belong on a pizza? Absolutely, yes. I grew up in San Diego. Ham and pineapple was one of my favorite pizzas in the 80's and 90's when I was a teen/young adult. I never even heard it questioned until my own teenager did so in recent years, and it surprised me that it was a controversy. I will still order pineapple on pizza nowadays. I just rarely have pizza anymore (and never with cheese, except, rarely, a tiny bit of GOAT cheese, which I can digest in a small amount no more than once a month).
