Carrie, I work for a community college and got the educational discount. It was actually cheaper for a year's subscription than buying Photoshop Elements. That was the push I needed to switch! Now I'm hooked on CC.

I just switched from Elements to CC within the last couple months. One thing (of many) I'm still struggling with on the switch is: when I drag an element onto my layout (not duplicate layer, just drag and drop) it loses all its file info and just becomes "Layer 1" or "Layer 2". Is there a setting or preference change that I can click so that file name stays with the layer (like for credit tracking)?
 
@lvancura I'm going to guess that you are dragging from another window on to your workspace. I drag and drop elements and papers from the kit folder onto the workspace and it keeps the layer names.
 
I just went from CS6 to CC and I'm still exploring all the new options I have :) Thanks for the link to the video, @Rikki. I'm going to watch tonight!
