Phones...

I temporarily lose my phone at least five times a day... sigh. A series of small panic attacks throughout my day. That said, I have never fully lost it (yet). I do much better now that I have my Loopy case because I don't have to set it down as often, I can just loop it onto my finger and carry other things. Or if I'm in a bathroom, I can hang it from the hook so it's in my line of sight.

The closest thing to losing a phone any of us have had is when my daughter's phone was stolen at dance (by an 8 year old!!).

I would freak out if I lost my phone, but mainly because I'm not big on change and avoid upgrading my phone even when planned... so a forced, unplanned "upgrade" would freak me out. Also, I tend to be really hard on myself when things like that happen too. I can tell my kids "it's ok and accidents happen", but for some reason I can't apply that to myself.

So far I've never lost my phone, but I know I'd be twitchy until I replaced it. I use it all day long for all. the. things.

Funny enough, we went camping this weekend and on Saturday went tubing down a river. I left my phone in the car so I wouldn't dunk it, and kept reaching for it only to remember I didn't have it. I do have a SUPER old point and shoot camera with a waterproof case though, so at least I was able to get some fun pictures while floating.

Yay... I might be able to file a claim on our phone insurance. I had forgotten we had it, so it's coming in handy!! Woot Woot! At least then I will have another iPhone 6 Plus... we can then use that as my son's upgrade or we can turn it in for credit since it will be brand new!

Oh no Jenn! But you have such a good attitude about it.

I've had so many issues with my current phone. My hubby is so good at getting my phone all up do date again. My phone broke a couple weeks ago (right before our beach vacay) and I couldn't really do anything with it while we were gone. I could get texts. When we got back we switched it over to my old phone. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do.

And @Rachel Jefferies - These things have happened to me!
:no2 Oh No i'm so sorry . .

I once went for a pee in a department store while hubby took the kids off somewhere, I am sure all the mums can relate here, I sat down and breathed a sigh of relief, had my pee, and caught up on my facebook and emails and what not LOL put my phone on top of the toilet roll dispenser, did my pleasantries, washed hands etc. and left the bathroom and yup left my phone on top of the toilet roll dispenser fully unlocked . . Left the department store and walked 15 mins to the train station. Got to the train station and thought hmmm my jeans feel a little light, patted my back pockets and thought MY PHONE !! Needless to say I ran all the way back to the department store boobs swinging left right and centre and looked a hot mess by the time I got there but it was still there. :jumpey

Roll forward two years and we took Keaton to Thomas Land at our local theme park, I nipped to the family room to feed Mackenzie, and afterwards needed the toilet but the only one that was free was a childs toilet so I had to squat extra low and i totally forgot my phone was in my back pocket . . pulled down my jeans and yup splash and dunk . . !!!! GROSS

Soooo I do not have much luck with public toilet areas :moon:lmao This time my phone did not recover and my very kind and sweet hubby bought me a brand new one :hide

Oh Jenn...what a story! I'd hate to have to do all that replacement in the hot weather. I'd be half ok if I had to do it in cold weather!

Knock on wood, fingers, toes and eyes crossed I've never lost a phone or broken one. Now dh...uh that's another story. I keep mine in a side pocket and don't like it when I am wearing something that doesn't have side ones. Now I do misplace it in the house and periodically have to take another trip up or down the stairs before I call myself. I usually have the ringer off so I have to stand and listen for the vibrate sound. I too am ready to ditch my iPhone 6 and get an 8 or a 7. But at the same time getting used to a new one does not sound like fun.
