I temporarily lose my phone at least five times a day... sigh. A series of small panic attacks throughout my day. That said, I have never fully lost it (yet). I do much better now that I have my Loopy case because I don't have to set it down as often, I can just loop it onto my finger and carry other things. Or if I'm in a bathroom, I can hang it from the hook so it's in my line of sight.
The closest thing to losing a phone any of us have had is when my daughter's phone was stolen at dance (by an 8 year old!!).
I would freak out if I lost my phone, but mainly because I'm not big on change and avoid upgrading my phone even when planned... so a forced, unplanned "upgrade" would freak me out. Also, I tend to be really hard on myself when things like that happen too. I can tell my kids "it's ok and accidents happen", but for some reason I can't apply that to myself.
