Hi girls! so, yesterday on Christa's chat, we talked about apps to scan photos...old/heritage ones or new ones, specially to add to our scrapbooking pages and projects. can you point me again to those apps' names, I couldn't take notes of the suggestions, I was on my phone while talking on the chat and it's a bit confusing to do this!! thanks a lot!
I bet @cfile will remember. Can't wait to get the info too because I was Uber-ing to the airport and missed the chat yesterday. Sounds like a fun one, as usual!
It was a very cool chat! and the talking about the apps was good too, but I was talking about another subject at the same time as well, things got confusing as I was on my phone! LOL!!
@Ferdy Ferdy and Sara @Tree City Cheryl @Cherylndesigns advised it was called Scanner App PDF https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/scanner-app-pdf-document-scan/id1040093707?mt=8 It is a free trial and as per Cheryl it is $36 a year.. it looks interesting. I know Cheryl loves it. I will read up on it a bit more. Glad you enjoyed the chat yesterday. I had fun too!!
It was a great chat, Christa! Yes, that's the app I have and I love it! I told a few of you that I would show you some of the scans I've done. You can do a scan and save it right to your picture file on your phone, and there's usually a bit of editing to do. You can edit right on the app, but I like to get it in PS so I can really see it. Here are two layouts where i used scans of old photographs. The photograph of my grandma is actually a copy of the original (old) photograph. This picture of my grandson is 22 years old and it scanned beautifully, too.
I thought Cheryl talked about the scanner of photomyne ... https://itunes.apple.com/be/app/fotoscanner-van-photomyne/id1037784828?l=nl&mt=8
Christa, @cfile it actually isn't free. It's only free for the trial period (that's where they get you). It's $36 a year, but I'm going to keep it. I can scan things wherever I am.
GORGEOUS!!!! Thanks for showing and sharing the scans Cheryl!! Your Grandmother and your Grandson, both pages scanned beautifully!!
thanks @Cherylndesigns and @cfile !! I need to see if there's an android version, I forgot to say, I have a Samsung phone...my bad!
I use Photomyne when I need scan using my phone. I believe it's available on Android and Apple Store too.
Thanks, Ferdy and Christa! I don't know if there's an Android version. I'm having connection problems today - it keeps kicking me off. I'm going to upload a screenshot of the exact app I got. BRB
My computer's really wonky right now. The main picture isn't showing up, but this is the app that I'm using. I'll try to do a screenshot later. GRRRRRRRRR https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-scans-best-pdf-scanner-app/id992843986#?platform=iphone
I couldn't find Photomyne, but I found yours @Cherylndesigns !! thank you so much! I'm sorry you had a hard time to get the photo of the main screen!!
You're so welcome, Ferdy! When our wifi acts up, it just brings me to a grinding halt. Everything I do is dependent on it. I was even trying to connect my laptop with my phone hot spot, but it won't move big files around very well. I really really like the quality of it. I just uploaded a page where I used a scan from that app of an old picture of my hubby. I'm amazed at the quality!
I missed the chat yesterday. I'm on Android and have happily used camscanner for years. Also, Google photoscanner. CamScanner was a couple bucks when I bought it, google photoscanner is free.
