Sigh. I swear as soon as the calendar turns December 1, everyone wants my weekends!

Tonight is our church Christmas party. I went over to help set up this morning. Then I'm invited to a mom's only cookie exchange next week. And there's the TLP open houses coming up! Luckily, those are not all weekends!

Do you have any parties happening this month? Are you the planner? Or just the attender?

We are headed to a birthday party tonight for my friend’s two year old. Next Saturday, we are having a party to celebrate my daughter’s black belt. I THINK that is it for parties, but my anniversary is in a few weeks, too

You need a party for your anniversary!

I had a baby shower to go to today for my niece. It was really nice and not a lot of people, plus it was around brunch time and they had mimosas :) It's all the school parties that get to me...between pot lucks and classroom parties at my school, and Chance's parties at his school, and receptions for band for him, and choir for my granddaughter, it's not looking like much free time between now and Christmas.

We have a big banquet for our church. It is a highlight of the year. Last year one man asked for his girlfriend's hand in marriage. She said yes!! It was so so sweet. A group of ladies and I do heaps of desserts. The banquet is catered, but we do desserts. So fun. It is always the Friday before Christmas, and just is awesome. We don't go to any other events for parties.

We have a few friends & work parties to attend but we are also missing a few when we are out of town the 15th weekend. December is just crazy! What are the tlp parties you mentioned?

My book club Christmas party is tomorrow. It's a brunch, so I'm going to have to get up really early for an 8am church service. Too bad I make it a point to NEVER drink and drive because I know those mimosas are going to look divine!

December 7, 2017 8pm-10pm EST, and December 13, 2017 2pm-4pm EST. It's on the calendar as Holiday Open House.
I hope you can stop by and hang out!
I am going to be there both days.. love the open houses here!!!

Re parties, since hubby and I are now retired, no more work parties. Also we don't really don't have other people here that we socialize with, so it is just us and for me that is ok :) I do get together with a friend or two for coffee or lunch and will probably do that during the holidays. For me Dec is a bunch of Dr appts. so I am using them as 2 part.. go to appts and then some of them dinner or lunch out :) next Sunday I have an MRI at 10:40am so after we are done with that we will go to this German restaurant here for a nice German holiday lunch. Going out during the month of December is always fun as every place is decorated and I love that. Last night we went out for a wonderful dinner and it was so very festive with all the lights and all.

We will be having our own little Wine & Cheese for the Christmas holidays and I rather enjoy that.. we do this and watch Holiday movies together.. just us. My bestest friend and her hubby live in NY and my Brother and Sister in Law are across the state so for me as long as I talk with them and face time and do our things here I am happy not to worry about Holiday parties and driving afterwards.

As I get older I find I get more and more private :) Enjoy the holiday parties!!

Never been a party at the holidays person. Only one I ever had was the work party which was held during work hours. As a retiree this year, I am invited back for the party where I will be acknowledged for my years of service and presented with my retirement gift (a check). That is December 19th at lunch time. That's it for parties for me.

I am not a party person, in general, but I would love to go to a Christmas party or two. We are renting a 900 square foot house so no parties here. When we finally have our own house, you can be sure I'll be throwing some kind of fantastic Christmas party!

My husband doesn't think his work throws a Christmas party (and hasn't asked abt it, obviously, since he hates peopleing) & my new job is just me + 2 pastors + 2 super part-time people so I doubt they have a Christmas party, either. I'll find out for sure when I start this week!

I am taking my daughter to a Christmas Girl Scout party next weekend which should be fun.

never been a big party person but did go and celebrate my best friends 30th last night at a local restaurant and am going to a get together for alumni for a certificate I did in 2011 as it is finishing after 40 years this month on Tuesday.

Mine all seem to be on Sundays this year... Mostly I need to watch my waistline with all the goodies...
Sunday, Dec 10 - afternoon: party/open house at my hubby's old boss' house. She cooks lots of food from India. Then that evening is our church's banquet with dinner and a program. Definitely a stretchy pants day.
Sunday, Dec 17 - celebrating my daughter's sweet 16 with her friends that afternoon (her birthday is Dec 25 so we always have to celebrate early). Then other friends are coming over later that evening to finish off the cake, etc.
Sunday, Dec 24 - candlelight service at church - the Christmas story and carols and candles - very nice and quiet
Saturday, Dec 30 - hubby's extended family Christmas party in Ky

Not a party at all, but daughter and I are working 2 to 4 hours almost every day between this Thursday and Christmas at the gift wrapping fundraiser for Girl Scouts. Yee-ha!

We have our school co-op party on Tuesday. Next week my girls are hosting a Christmas party here for their friends. The following week is our Church Christmas party. So we have at least one every week...and there will probably be more.

I think I've already attended my only Christmas party for the year... that wasn't even really a party, but a "luncheon" for work and that was on Friday, December 1st. :) I may have one more after the 1st of the year with the choir from church, but they always wait until after the crazy of Christmas is over to do that one.
