So, I agreed to host a Pampered Chef party for a friend who is a rep for the company. Can I be honest and say that stuff like this totally stresses me out? I worry that I am bothering people by inviting them, then I worry that no one will come and I will be wasting the rep's time, then I worry that people will feel obligated to come and spend money, then when it takes awhile for people to RSVP, I feel like a loser who has no friends. :dizzy

Well, my party is tonight and I think that we will have a decent turnout :cheer

So, two questions.
1. It has been years since I have been to a Pampered Chef party, what are your favorites?

2. do parties like this stress you out as much as they do me?

1. Love the cool & serve tray (as in it goes with us every time we take food anywhere) and the new little cool & serve.

2. They totally and completely stress me out (and i have been a rep! for PC & 2 other things - i think i like to party and get free stuff lol) but they always end up FUN and everyone (especially this time of year) is glad they came and get to spend time with you! Have a great time tonight!!

I love the stoneware. I have 3 pieces and have been using them for over 15 yrs. My daughter's cookie sheet stoneware cracked (she'd had it for about 2-3 yrs). She had kept her receipt. They replaced it no problem. I thought that was great customer service.

I love the stoneware too Rae. I use my stone for everything from cookies to corn dogs! It's awesome.

I agree, those parties freak me out too lol. I'm always worried no one will show up!

I had a party years ago and earned a lot of stuff. Still using to this day are - their stones - LOVE. Mine are used and nicely browned now, lol! I also love the measuring cup for dry or liquid. Their little mini spatula is a great little thing too!

Have fun!

Parties like this always stress me out, but usually turn out way better than I thought!

I love the can opener, the mini spatulas, the kitchen tools... I do have the pizza stone and a stone pie dish, but both of them I do not use, but the can opener the small spatulas, the large spatula, and the "cheese" spreader I use all the time :)

For all the same reasons Becky I too never did those parties. It will go well do not stress.. the product is good and sells itself :) Have a fun party & good luck!

My cookies always taste better when cooked on their stone cookie sheet. Now this is making me want cookies LOL

I have their casserole type stoneware dish. I love it! I have used it like a cookie sheet, but it's great for potato dishes and homemade Mac and cheese and cooking asparagus!
I also really really really love my wet/dry measuring cup from them. It's a 2 cup, which is a great size, and makes measuring peanut butter and honey and mayo and everything super duper easy!

As to parties, I'm a curmudgeon. I hate being invited to them because I hate the expectation to spend money. I hated the one I held, because I hate feeling like I'm forcing people to buy things. :(

I've never had a Pampered Chef party, but I've been to a couple.

I'll be honest and say that I went to support my friend, but didn't buy anything. The food was delish tho :)

I love to go to those types of parties every now and again! I do stress about the same things when I host these, so you are not out of the norm - I have had all of those emotions, but they generally turn out okay! We built a new house last year, and so I got to decorate all new for Christmas, and I had a Christmas open house to showcase the house as well as had Origami Owl, Thirty One bags, and Life Expressions all set up in my basement for people to shop for Christmas gifts...that was the way to go - everyone wanted something a little different and that gave them the opportunity to shop any or all of them! Have fun with your party!

Oh yeah - I have a few things I love from PC - bamboo wooden spoon set - have lasted wonderfully and I use it for all my stirring of pots as they do not scratch them! Also love the food chopper!

I love their stoneware. I only have a pizza stone, but I've had it for a number of years now and it's still in great shape.

Oh I love PC! Some of my favorites that I use almost daily- Measure-All, bamboo utensils, can opener, mini spatula, spreader, cookie sheet. I'm odd. I have some stoneware but I don't use it much.

I don't like to have parties in my house b/c I have no room for many to sit. Our house is teeny! But I don't mind doing catalog parties. That way if I don't get many orders, it's okay! I like that catalog parties are no pressure. :)

I hope you party went well Becky. I love Pampered Chef stuff. those parties are the rare ones that I don't mind going to because I can always find something that I could use in the kitchen. My favorite is the can opener. It's weird to get used to, but I love that it creates a smooth edge so you won't (or kids won't) cut themselves on it AND you can pop the lid back on and stick stuff in the frig again in the can. I also LOVE my glass "bowl" with the handle on the side. I use that every single day. I like my little brownie server/spatula thingie too.

I love my Pampered Chef microwave pots.. with lids.. freaking awesome..
also the stones.. :P
and .. the potato peeler (so sharp.. I have had mine since 2003 and it still works perfect like new)

Becky, do you have a link to a website as part of your party? I never get invited to these things and you guys make me want to shop.

Yes! they totally stress me out. I just had one recently and was reminded once again why I decided not to do them anymore.

PC has good stuff!!! i love the cheese grater thing. the stoneware is awesome, i have them for casseroles, baking, pizza and cookie trays. the rice cooker for the microwave is cool. the little scoops (like ice cream scoopers ... i think they have 2 or 3 sizes) are awesome too for making cookies.

i don't host them though. that would stress me out too. hope it was a good turn-out for you!

I also LOVE my glass "bowl" with the handle on the side. I use that every single day. I like my little brownie server/spatula thingie too.

I have had my glass bowl since before we were married!! I also love my little brownie server.
