Pad Patter: June 28: underwire?

Well, my problem is running is hurting too bad. My sports bras fit well, so not sure what else I need.
my friend recently got the new Victoria's Secret sports bra (i think it has an inner piece and a zip up outer shell) a bit pricey bt she said it made a huge difference ... she was hurting and uncomfortable while running too. maybe check those out?

I have to wear an underwire super support bra under my sports bra for running, and I ain't all that blessed, but gravity has taken hold of the amount I do have and it needs all the holding in I can manage, or it hurts like the dickens

Oh, honey. I've been wearing underwire bras since I was in 9th grade. The gurls are so heavy and enormous that there's no way I could freeboob it with non-underwire.

Those cute lil' shelf bras you ladies wear during the summer in your tanktops? My ladies giggle when I walk by those in the store and head for the HEAVY DUTY ONLY WHITE AND/OR BEIGE 'CAUSE BUXOM BABES HATE COLORS AND PRETTINESS AND ANYTHING FUN section of the bra department.

I was like this until the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of college. I finally got my insurance to allow me to get a breast reduction. I had the grooves in my shoulder blades (from my bra straps), headaches/neck aches/etc, so they finally approved it. I went from a 42DDD to a 36C. I'm back up to a 38DDD now but still that's still nothing compared to what I was. Thankfully Victoria Secret has cute bras in the 38DDD size but I remember having to order bras from Penny's when I was in HS and they were always expensive! And yes, the only ever came in white or beige.

I started wearing underwire bras after giving birth when I noticed the girls had grown bigger and ain't holding up properly. And I am addicted to them ever since.

I tried to wear the non-wired ones at home but I dun feel good w/o the support.

I know sports bra comes non-wire. But again, the support ... I cannot live without it. Plus I love the snugness from the underwire = no bouncy melons.

I tried wearing the underwire under the sports bra ... boy oh boy !!!!! the heat is killing me more than anything. So I skip the sports bra. Unless the girls are too active for my own good.

OFF TOPIC
I dun see any reason nor logic in wearing all those VS-fancy-wancy lingerie set. Ok, you wanna seduce your man by wearing them. Fine. Unless you're doing a sexy dance which can last very long. O'wise they'll all come off soon enuf.

Then they are worn under your clothes, nobody knows what fancy design / pretty lil thingys are your lingerie ... except yourself.

And do you know it' is fashionably-incorrect-&-hideous-looking to wear a colored bra under a white top??!!

Ok, end of off-topic. You may resume your normal channel

Dalis, you just need BETTER sports bras, not underwire ones. I'm a 34D (with 5 kids...) and I run. I've had good luck with the Champion ones (not the Target ones - try Kohl's) that say MAX SUPPORT on them, but failing that, get an Enell. NOTHING MOVES EVER in those. They're spendy, but I promise you no bounce.

Agnes, I wear colored sports bras under my white tank tops for running. I match the bra to the bottoms. I'm just out for a run, so why not have some fun with it? :giggle

This not only prevents any bouncing, it will help to flatten the girls too. :giggle :flirty

I hate underwires... sports bra or not, I find them direly uncomfortable.

I hate underwires! But, it is much harder for me to find a bra that actually fits that I can afford than it used to be. I used to be able to afford and fit into Victoria's Secret bras. They had a racer back -- which I prefer, no annoying straps falling down -- and underwire, but they were quality. And beige, white and black. I didn't go for the fancy colors. BUT they were $30 each. In the early '90's. Yikes! Back when I had credit cards.
I haven't used credit cards in probably 15-20 years, and I love paying cash/debit, but there are downsides - like I can't afford to pay for nice bras! And I bet they are much more expensive now!

Plus at that time I was like a 36C or something and in college. I've gained a lot of weight since then and am now a 40D, and even getting a (so-called) professional (it was free, and not very good) bra sizing I still can't find a good bra that I can afford.

I can't find ANY comfortable underwires, because the bras just don't fit. Even trying them on, they are just meh. And I've tried all the sizes around mine. And no one even makes razor backs any more.

And what is up with all the padded push up bras for 40D? I think my girls are big enough, thanks. I don't need a push or padding. I want a bra that fits -- not one I can't wear everyday. *sigh* nightmare. I hate bra shopping. /rant over.
