Pad Patter: 9/7 - Dishes

I have one nice set by Nautica that we got when we got married:

- They are nice and simple and elegant and will match any color kitchen which is nice

But I have a hot mess when it comes to our every day stuff - I really need to work on getting a new set even if it is cheaper and from Target, because I have a set of 4 only and we are a family of 5. My girls actually eat off of plates that they painted at a Paint a Pot place and they like those for now! So it's definitely a mish mash!

And don't even get me started on silverware!

This is the set we have too! We use these for dinner every night. We have the black set and the white set with all the serving bowls, etc....to go with. I LOVE the set and wish I could find them again b/c the kiddos have broken a few plates/bowls over the past 7 years!!!

For breakfast/lunch we use a "beachy" plastic set I had registered for at Target. We have lost all the cups and most of the bowls though...due to them cracking. They weren't really intended to be used every day!

We have a nice set of Pfaltzgraff silverware...love it!

I swear my mom has every piece and color of Fiestaware that has ever come out!!!

Kohl's ad came yesterday. Fiesta on sale, and I got 30%. I might go buy a few open stock pieces to get the ball rolling!

We are a rainbow of Fiestaware here. After having had it for so long - including the flatware we are rather tired of all of the color and would really like to switch to something a little less colorful or at least switch to having one or two colors - rather than the rainbow of mixy matchy we currently have.

We have a big old mess in our cabinet. I have some Corelle (dinner plates, big bowls, small bowls) that was my mom's and grandma's, so it's OLD. I mean, I remember eating off of it when I was little!
I have a ton of Tupperware plates and bowls, again, they were my mom's and grandma's. They are the old colors.
We have a ton of cereal bowls that we got free with purchase of 2 boxes of cereal - they are characters and the kids use those the most. I also still have some of Lane's kiddie plates (he's 16 now). Pokemon, Pooh... We've added some of those plates for the 2 younger ones as the years have gone by. They eat off of those (except Lane) most of the time for dinner.
I would love to have a huge matching set, but I can't bear to part with my grandma's stuff, especially when everything still looks so good!
