Is the cupcake craze reached your corner of the world? We love cupcakes in our house and I think right now my favorite is a gluten free place near Carolee's house. They are delicious! So tell, me what's your favorite flavor in cupcake? Also, do share your recipe if it's a cupcake you bake yourself. :giggle

I don't bake my own but do love them! I don't often buy them bc I will pig out. I can't eat just one. I never had a cupcake I didn't like. My fave is a coconut chocolate.

There's a gourmet cupcake shop in my town, and also 4 doors down from my school on Mondays. Fat Angie returning soon.

I typically use a box mix for the cupcake and then make my own icing. Well, I always make my own icing. I'm not sure I've ever made the cake part from scratch for cupcakes, although I do sometimes for a full cake.

I'm kind of a cupcake snob. The best commercial cupcakes I've tried are from Sprinkles, and only this week when DH came home with some. Otherwise I just find the cake/frosting ratio off or just too cloying.

I like yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Which doesn't make for a pretty cupcake, but tasty. :)http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

I actually love to make cupcakes but stopped because I really shouldn't be eating them very often. :)

My favorite is a s'mores cupcake. The first one I had was from Magnolia Bakery in NYC several years ago and it was so good. I was really happy to see one show up at our local bakery down the road.... even if it is pretty different.

I love cupcakes of course, but lately I am being a snob and really digging the carrot cakes ones because they are not so sweet.

Molly, did you make those? They are so pretty.

Those are gorgeous, Molly!

There is cupcake place close to us that makes a cupcake called The Big Dip. It is a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting and then they dip it in this chocolate/toffee like ooey gooey goodness - but it hardens like magic shell on top. Soooo Good!

Wow, Molly those are beautiful! I am also a big fan of the yellow cake/chocolate frosting combo. I can never find that at cupcakeries though.

Cupcake shops are on every corner here. I am GF so they normally only have 1 or 2 flavors I can try. Thankfully, Carolee spoils me when I see her by bringing me Sweet Ali's delicious GF ones.

Oh, we have multiple cupcake shops around town here, too. However, I'm not a huge fan of the proportion of 2:1 icing:cake that they all use. Also not a fan of spending $5 for one, LOL.

However, yours look to reach just the right icing to cake balance, Molly. Yum :)

Cupcakes are pretty … and YES!! IT'S A CRAZY THING OVER HERE IN MALAYSIA!! THESE ARE MADE BY MY FRIEND!! How could someone eat these awesome and cute cupcakes!!

We have several. It just never occurs to me to go someplace where the only thing I can buy is an expensive cupcake, kwim? Guess I'm all abt efficiency.

I love cupcakes, and haven't made any in ages. I used to make them every year for birthdays.... I've tried a bunch from the Hello Cupcake book....

Nothing as beautiful as Molly's cupcakes - those are gorgeous Molly!

No, not much cupcakes here, the boys do not really like it. Sniff sniff...

It's all about red velvet or salted caramel cupcakes or cake pops here, I do bake some but they're all thanks to Betty Crocker :D
