Pad Patter: 7/26 - Board Games

My 6 year old LOVES games and I play with him several times a week - Sorry, Chutes & Ladders, matching/memory games, card games, Candy Land, stuff like that. DH and I really like to to play Ticket to Ride but we don't pull it out very often.

We used to do game night all the time here me & hubby.. scrabble or trivial pursuit.. I have a lot of games but for some reason that fell by the waistside so now if I want to play a game I do so alone on Pogo :) one day we will get back into it.. I also like the Wii bowling so sometimes I will get that out, but we spend more time on line.. me doing scrapping so that is why I guess game night is not as big anymore here.

now the girls are older we like to play a game that is part cards and part board game ...Sequence .. lots of fun and makes them think. My big girl and I like to gang up on hubby and the small girl hehe

My 7 year old is just getting excited about games. She loves UNO, but she still has a hard time holding cards (she's exactly as uncoordinated as her Mama, poor kid!) and Monopoly Jr. We picked up a few new to us games at a garage sale yesterday for .50 each and a spelling card game called Quiddler was a big hit. When I'm playing with grown ups, Scattagories is hands down my favorite...my sister and I could play that game for HOURS!
