I'm guessing it's because I loved reading the 50 Shades trilogy that I'm reading again...which is a good thing.

What are some recommendations for some summer reading?

I recommend Divergent and Insurgent--the first two parts of a trilogy.

Also just started reading some books by Harlen Coben (they are suspense, thriller type) and have been getting sucked into them fairly quickly.

I'm reading Jennifer Weiner's Certain Girls (book), Diana Gabaldon's A Breath of Snow and Ashes (audio), and Sophia Kinsella's I've Got Your Number (nook).

Looks like I'll have plenty of reading material to download before heading off on our mini-vacation.

I'm enjoying the Rizzoli and Isles series by Tess Gerritsen (most written before there was ever a tv show and the characters are different)

I just finished reading Sara's Key which was heartbreaking, but a great book. Now I started reading a crime book by a swedish author, Camilla Lackberg. It's a series of books and I'm on book #5 I think.

I just finished up the Mortal Instruments... again. lol

Right now I'm reading the Wicked Lovely series. I just finished the first one and am waiting for the second from the library.

Mortal Instruments is one of my all time faves. I also love Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series and Fever series. And JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood.

I am almost done reading several inter related series by Janet Chapman Highlanders, Midnight Bay and Spellbound Falls. They are romance novels with time travel, magic, druids involved. I was not sure I liked it as much as Karen Marie Moning's Highlanders at first because I adore hers, but you really get involved with all of these brothers, then their children and you get kind of sucked into their stories. I am sorry I am on the last book.

Love this thread! Definitely gonna have to read a few of these. Right mow I'm reading the 7th Stephanie Plum book by Janet E. They are funny and entertaining and super quick reads. But I want something different when I'm done with this one.
I have a reading wish list about a mile long. I'll have to add a few of these to it.

I'm on the last Outlander book. I haven't been reading as much because my husband has been having me watch all these tv series with him. We did Sherlock, and now we're on season 3 of Breaking Bad. I never watch much tv, so this has been a big deal for him to have me sit and watch tv with him! LOL!

I have no idea what to read after this book though. I have a "diet" book that I'm going to read, but that doesn't count. I have so many on my Kindle...but I'll probably download something new!!

Question about the two Moning series of books above - are they written in contemporary language or in historical tense/prose? (I know that's kind of vague but I've found that historical romance novels written in a non-contemporary voice tend to lose my interest)

Contemporary!! And I think this is my problem with the series I am reading now! the language is throwing me off.
