Got a new phone on Friday from my work and within an hour had to drive a few hours to attend a funeral. Goodness this has been a hectic 2 days and now I've got some time to check out this new Droid Razr Maxx. It is way different than an iPhone, that's for sure.

What do you have for a cell phone?

iPhone 4. I think I have an upgrade and might go get the 4s. Two of my boys have Droids...the rest of us have iPhones.

I love my iPhone 4S. I had a 3GS for the longest but then my sister got the new one and I had to upgrade because I couldn't let her have a cooler phone.

I have a iPhone 4. My SIL has the 4S and her photos on it are so much better than mine are on the 4 so it makes me jealous. I'm thinking I'll wait until the next version to upgrade. I don't know if I could switch to a Droid from an iPhone. I've played with my Dad's and it seems like there would be a learning curve for sure!

I have the iPhone 3gs. It was cheap lol! 4 months after I got mine for 30 bucks, DH got his for .99!!!

I've got a driod - Huawei Ideos U8150 but would like to upgrade to a newer driod that actually has some battery life

Man I want an iPhone sooo bad! I've been toying with the idea of getting a virgin mobile smartphone, but the cameras just stink. I really don't need one except for when we are camping and things so I can check in online and to take/upload photos. I can't imagine spending 80 per month min on a phone plan, but at the same time - I'm very much considering it. I want a 4s - I don't mind spending quite a bit on the actual phone, it is the monthly plan I hate. I don't want to pay 40 for voice plan because I hardly ever talk on the phone! I'd pretty much use it for text and photo uploads except when camping when I'd go online.

Can you ladies tell me what is awesome about the iphone as opposed to a droid? Why do you all love them so much?! Also do you have a 16 g, 32 g, or something else? I'm wondering if the 16 g would be good enough for me. I just basically want to take pics and upload them and occasionally check online.

I'm another happy iPhone user. I have the iPhone 4.

Kelley, I use it for everything! WAY more than I even thought. I check email and online forums and stuff like that, but on top of that I also started using my google calendar on there, I love having all my contacts on there, I reserve movies on Redbox with it so I don't have to drive all over looking for one with the movie we want and I know that it'll still be there when I get there. I use the Weight Watchers app to track my daily points and my weekly weigh ins. I LOVE the map app and don't really need a GPS much anymore. There's an awesome geocaching app that my family and I use with it's built in GPS. I read books on mine and I even have a flashlight app for getting up in the early morning so I don't wake my hubby up. I listen to The Digi Show podcasts on it and also audio books from the library. I check weather. I play games with my friends and hubby. I even use the darn thing as my alarm clock in the morning and for reminders of meetings at work. I mean I literally use this thing for everything all day long! :)

I have an iPhone 4 and I really like it. My daughter also has the 4 but I got my son the 4S for his Eagle Project gift. I need to actually have us take pictures of the same thing and compare them as his camera is supposed to be much better than mine.

I do want to upgrade but I think it will be to a 5.

Thanks Karen! That is a lot of stuff, lol. I'm intrigued. I'm glad you are able to use it for geocaching - that is one thing we really want to do this summer, and I didn't know if it had GPS.

I have the Droid Razr (not the MAXX). My only complaints are no screenshots and crappy battery life (but that's because I can't quit checking the forums, email and FB on it all day).

The Maxx has a 2 day battery life and so far, it hasn't disappointed. But then again, I'm still getting used to it.

Are the pics on your Droids as good as those on the iphones? They both have 8 MP cameras, right?

I think the photos are clearer compared to the iPhone 3GS that we had. But one of the guys here got an iPhone 4G and he says the photos are about the same. And yes, both have 8MP.
