I always wanted to be a mom...I know, strange...never saw a hubby, just a million kids.
I did toy with being an anthropologist for a few years....
What about you?:flirty

when I was much younger, (ages 5-12 or so) I wanted to be a Prima Ballerina for the New York Ballet-- After I did one year on pointe my toes and ankles were not able to withstand the hard treatment- plus I struggled with weight issues.
I also had dreams of being an astronaut, but was terrified of heights and easily motion sick, so didn't move beyond dreaming of going to space.
My degree is in Interior Design, but I'm still not sure what I want to be, besides a wife and a mom!

Oh gosh, I remember now years ago..watching the Olympics1976 and Nadia comanichi in gymnastics...and wanting to be her...lol but just for a week or so.. practicing floor routines in my backyard

I wanted to be a race car driver, hairdresser, photographer, business owner, probation officer for young offenders and a counsellor. I am a Youth Worker so I guess I did the last one in a way :).
Funny thing is I never saw myself as a mom and didn't decide I wanted to be one until I was 28, had my son at 30.

As a young girl I used to run to the meat department of the grocery store and watch the worker put the cellophane around the tray of meat and seal it on some kind of a heat plate. I SO WANTED that job when I grew up.

INSTEAD....I went to college and the choices for women were still pretty slim: secretary (didn't need college for that), social worker, nurse (couldn't stand illness and blood), teacher (eh?). Got married part way through college, hubby went to war, I went back to college and became a teacher (never thought I would be that). After the war, finished college became a teacher...turns out I did love it and I was good at it. Now I'm retired from it and I still have hubby.

me too( well the 1968 one LOL ) I still have a scar across my knee, that proves that 2 washing lines in a cobbled yard is not the same as parallel bars !

for the rest I wanted first to be a kindergarden teacher, until I had a two weeks of practice , that cured me of that , after that it was a nurse that was the goal , but Malta happened , and hubby, so we decided to open a shop instead.

:giggle This is HILARIOUS! :rofl

I've wanted to be a doctor since 4th grade. It's all I wanted to do. It's what I did... now, all I want to do is stay home, LOL.

Wanted to be a vet or vet nurse - ended up doing an environmental science degree instead. Small trouble of not being quite attentive enough at school to get to be a vet...

a Housewife, for as far back as i can remember. My dream come true

I wanted to be a Dentist for some weird reason. That's the only thing I can remember ever thinking about as a kid and even that was pretty brief. I can't really say how I ended up doing Engineering and CAD (computer aided design) other than I played with computers for fun when they first came out because my Dad was enthralled with them and I was always good at math and science. It seems to just have fallen into place.

I wanted to be an archaeologist and travel the world finding treasures like Indiana Jones. Instead I became a technical project manager and just collect and restore old junk...

Pilot. .. wanted to fly planes. Instead, I have a certificate in interior merchandizing, and train people at an insurance company.

I wanted to be so many things... veterinarian, physical therapist, nurse and speech pathologist to name a few. As I got older, I leaned toward the speech pathologist... it didn't happen, and I was between psychology and nursing. (I worked at hospitals - ER/NICU/MedSurg - all through college). I then decided to get my psych degree and business degree.... The "plan" was to become a Business Psychologist with getting my Doctorate.... that didn't happen - kids. LOL! Now, I am a Jenn of All Trades. :P I handle contracts, insurance, billing, accounting, receivables, collections and a whole slew of other things.

I'd still love to become a nurse. I need to win the lottery. Ha!

I always wanted to be a mother.. :) I got that! :P
I also wanted to be an othrodonist for awhile.. but I gave up that goal when I HATED math class and chemistry in high school .. and I am not too big of fan of blood
....
I than decided on English teacher.. I actually went to school till student teaching when I had to drop out due to issues with my pregnancy with Bianca :( Never went back.. due to aid no longer covering me.. cause I dropped out mid semster.

Doctor or marine biologist.
I often wonder.....WHAT IF....

I actually finished 4 years of pre-med before becoming an elementary teacher (with a minor in Zoology).
Science and the human body has always interested me.

I always wanted to join the Australian Air Force when I was little. I applied in High School, completed all the tests to that point, and was accepted on the proviso I passed the final medical. I was so excited .. I was going to officer training and I couldn't wait. Until I went for my final medical .... which I failed. *cue sound of broken heart*

Then I wanted to be a Librarian. Instead I ended up being a Payroll Officer but I love books still and my heart still pings when I see an Air Force uniform.

when I was young I grew up on a huge ranch...and that's what I wanted to do, as well as be a vet...until I got to high school and fell in love with the human body and how it moves. Since grade 9 I have wanted to be a physiotherapist...and that's what I went and did!! I have been working as a PT for the past 7 years and I still love it...I love being able to help someone improve their quality of life and decrease the amount of pain they are in...best thing ever!! Other than being a mom!
