Do you vote? My life seems full of voting. Not just the regular elections, but because I serve on boards and committees and whatnot, it seems like I'm always voting.

I'm always surprised that people don't vote when given the option. So, what say you? Do you vote? And Why?

I don't vote if none of the candidates are worth more than a stamp to me. I have to vote absentee since I'm abroad.

I do vote. Sometimes I feel like it's a drop in a bucket kind of a thing, but I do. I sympathize with you about the constant voting! I did PTA for years and years, from committee chairperson to president. It. Never. Ended.

I do vote & during the last two nationwide elections I was an Election Day Worker either issuing votes or counting them - I plan to do it again in Sept.

I do try to vote in every election - but I admit that I forget about the local ones. They always seem to be on weird dates - and I am always either late for work or stuck late at work - or both like I was last Tuesday when I missed the primary.

I do vote, but honestly, I get SICK AND TIRED of all the freakin' political phone calls I get. Every day. Right around dinner time. I HATE THEM. And I seriously consider not voting for those who interrupt my life with their recorded "consider voting for..." messages.

And they are often routed from local numbers which tempts me pick up the phone. My DH and I have positions in town sort of require that we stay available. Tricky.

Between those and the Police and Firefighters calling for money (Yes, I support them. Yes, I appreciate them. Yes, they need money. Don't hate), I rarely answer my phone anymore, letting those that truly need us leave messages.

Can you tell it's a hot button of mine? :giggle.

Yes, I vote. I don't care for the political ads or the phone calls & surveys either. My real pet peeve is the people who don't bother to learn any thing about the candidates and the issues before they vote. In other words, people who vote a certain way because their friend said so or because they always vote that party or that way. As an idealist (lol), I want people to vote for the good of the country not for personal gain. I can handle local stuff and Boards, those people usually work together pretty well.

Yes, I vote. Why? So I do not give the enemy my voice ;)
I think it's bad if people do not have their own opinion about the elections and even worse, I find those who go not choose.

Yes, every time. But I too really get tired of the political phone calls and the mailings. DH has given money to a couple of candidates through the years, so now everyone hits us up for money all.the.time. Really makes me wish he hadn't gotten us on "the list."

We have to vote in Australia, so everyone gets a say - and I've never had a political phone call, that would put me off a candidate so very quickly...

If I had a choice, I would still vote, so important to take part in your countries politics, and then complain loudly when your chosen ones don't get in;)
