Sickies (both being sick and :giggle sick of exercising) hit over the last few months, and I am back in the saddle again.
Geez Louise...
it is hard!
Anyone hints, helps or others in this misery?

Eeeeekkkkk Exercise!

I'm joining the local Gym, and have my induction on Thursday, it is meant to take 1.5 hours, I'm hoping at least 1 hour of that is talking LOL!! I need to tone as I lose this weight but the gym scares me! I'm gonna need all the hints and help I can get!

Hope you settle back in Anne xx

no ... i am struggling with this. i started running again at the end of june last year. it was so hot and humid, but i did like 5-6 days a week. now while the weather is nice and springy cool ... i am struggling most days. SO hard.

I work in the child care section of the YMCA in my town. I have a gym right next to me. I still choose to just come home after work every day. I know I need to get in there, but sigh. I just can't motivate.
I really need to work on that. I have no excuses.

I have no advice as I need to get back into it as well. I have a hip flexor muscle/tendon/whatever thingie that is giving me trouble, and it's hard to work through that. I'm going to jog. I'm taking the kids along with to keep me going and make it interesting, and I'll probably jog with Guster as well. For me, tracking the distances always helps. Also, music for sure.

And cute workout clothes. :D

This hits home. After going well in January, a couple of trips hit and I never got back in the saddle. I had managed to improve my diet over the past month eliminating a lot of sugar and gluten. Then a week and a half ago my MIL passed away suddenly and everything has gone out the window. I'm determined to get back into the gym and get back on my better eating plan. I'll kick you into action if you kick me Anne.

Oh my word - you GUYS! We finally got gym memberships again a couple months ago - it's literally across the street from us, and open 24 hours, so there's really no excuse not to go. Then I also started the (FREE) Bikini Body Mommy Challenge 2.0 yesterday.. I only lasted about 10 days the first go round, but I'm determined this one will go better.. (anyone want to be my accountability partner?) Seriously, though, I can't walk today.. :groan

Feeling the misery here! I've just got myself a fitbit flex and it seems to be motivating me a little bit... x

I just started a C25K (Couch to 5K) program about five weeks ago. I go in spurts of exercising and this time I'm sticking with it... but it's but a lot harder than I thought. I am about 20 pounds over my goal weight and that really slows me down. The only reason I've stuck with it so long this time is because I have a friend doing it with me. We keep each other accountable and motivated. I can't tell you how many times we've said to each other... "I wouldn't have gone today if you hadn't made me." Get a buddy!

I find that I do best when I work it into my schedule intentionally - like, give it its own time slot and everything. If I don't set a time and keep to it - if i just try to find time to fit it in - it ain't gonna happen. :giggle

that being said, i haven't really exercised for a few months now. i was doing pretty well, and then ended up in physical therapy rehabbing my knee. now that i'm done with PT, i REALLY needto get back with the program!!

I agree with Rebecca. It HAS to be a priority.

Also I'm better to get it done in the morning. At the end of the day I'm tired and something always comes up that either prevents me from doing it, or is a handy excuse to not go.

I recently started running. The weather is nicer and i find it easier and more pleasant to run outside. But i dont love it yet. Thinking of signing up for a 5k or something to keep me motivated and working towards a goal

well woot to priorities and doing it first thing! three days in a row, up at 5am and up the mountain here! Just doing 2 miles, but this morning we went a bit further....yeah yeah!!

Thanks Jen! I appreciate the sentiment. Now come kick me in the rear to get moving!! LOL

Well done, everyone! I can't do my exercise in the morning.. It takes me a good 30-45 minutes to come out of my zombie sleepy stupor, and I'm definitely not willing to wake up 90 minutes early to give myself time to "wake up" before I exercise.. :giggle.. I usually (as in, the last two days, lol) do it right after I put the boys to bed and before I start designing for the night.
