We just finished cleaning out our storage area of our home. Tossing and keeping. We seriously had so many extension cords....oh my goodness?

They were bought because
"I can't find any?!" was spoken

well, I found about 20..yikes

do you find yourself picking up something often that you already have..??

For some reason I always think we're out of mustard and my husband always thinks we're out of BBQ sauce... needless to say, we have quite a backlog of those at the moment :-/

This thread makes me laugh. So, so true. I tend to do this with clothes too. I think I need a sweater in a certain color, only to find out I have one already just like it in the closet. I also seem to lose track of what's in the freezer.

yes!!!!!!!!

but as of now (as you will see in my purging post at the scrapping forum) I am determined to do a clean up and have a very good idea of what we have....even if it is a £1 thing.... financials here are getting tough so , why spend again, right?

then there are those things we buy because we just cannot help ourselves..like mugs for coffee or tea, tea towels, all kind of kitchen stuff....but they are SO beautiful!!!!!!!!!
I stopped my toiletries addiction a while ago as we permanently had (well, yeah, still do) 7 or 8 shampoo and conditioners bottles each, so many body wash we could bath the whole nation...things like that....
then there is Sarita making me spend money in things she never uses
which was cut last year too....

we just can't resist kitchen stuff...

Spaghetti noodles. I always think we don't have any and buy more. When we moved I found 12 boxes. TWELVE!

designers have been good to me, for me buying there kits twice or 3. I love index cards.. when i used to go out, i always looked every where for differant... fond-ish memory of driving to Floridia was checking all the truck stops for index cards..

I have bought a kit or so twice. Never know what's in the freezer so end up with no fish, and chicken for a year. I also have a paper hoarding problem - lined 4 by 5 sticky notes in crazy colours are my current fav.
