Any big projects planned for May?

I have a marathon this weekend that I'm not even close to trained for so that should be painful.

My other May project will hopefully be to paint the shutters on my house, but we'll see how that goes as I'm afraid of ladders and have a walkout basement, so I'm not sure how I think I'm getting them down. LOL

I really want to get the kid rooms in this house cleaned out, painted, reorganized. Crossing my fingers it doesn't drive me to drink!

Not too many plans here - I'm going out to celebrate my friend's Hen weekend in the middle of the month and will see my parents with my Project Life stash that Mum picked up for me in Atlanta!

ooh may is exciting here,my little lady starts nursery next week and then in a few weeks time were going camping for a long weekend with our friends

Getting all my course work done cause I finish semester on 6th June

My big plan is rocking the Guest Polly spot this month. :-)
Other than that, the less exciting/fun project for this month is cleaning out my closet. ;-)

My sister in law is coming to visit in two weeks so I'm really hoping to get some furniture rearranged and everything unpacked. Ugh! 10 months later and we've still got boxes lurking everywhere.

I was just reviewing our calendar with DH last night for this month. He just thought we had a few things here and there! Yea, he's rethinking a few events that HE said we'd attend! Bike nights, weddings, baby showers, convention, float trip, etc. I'm really hoping that Memorial weekend is just us laying around, catching some rays, swimming in the pool, and just relaxing!!!!

This weekend I'm hosting a big multi-family yard sale. Beyond that, I don't even know, haha! May is always such a blur with end of school stuff and making summer plans.

Scrappy-wise, I want to print my first batch of PL pages. I also want to make an album for my sis with the pics we took on our sister trip to Mexico in March.

Family-wise, we just need to get through the last few weeks of school. :D Ella has 2 gymnastics clinics this month, each on a Saturday morning, so that sets the tone for our weekend.

May is our big birthday month. Mine is the 6th, SIL is the 7th, my BFF is the 9th, hubby is the 14th, niece is the 15th, FIL is the 22nd.

Having a baby! :giggle I'm due next Wednesday, but there is not much going on at the moment to make me think it will be happening before then.

DH has a couple of phone and in-person interviews in the next couple weeks, and I need to schedule one for me. Of course, this is all happening, after months of nothing but rejection, around the baby's imminent arrival. Ain't that always the way?!

Otherwise, we have lots of things coming up for DD and her end-of-the-year preschool activities: Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Field Day, Graduation Day, etc etc.

I'm also thinking abt planning a Memorial Day get-together with a few families in our neighborhood. Four of the five families live next door to each other all with kids aged 2-7, so they all play together every night after dinner. I've been pretty anti-social during this pg, so I thought I might try to change that by throwing together a potluck. We'll see how motivated I feel by the end of the month! :giggle

For me, it's time for work to get insane with all of the end of the year stuff going on, so I will be a mad woman. On the home front, May is time to start our long list of birthdays, including all 3 of my children in the next month and a half. It's a busy busy time!!

Hopefully no travel - my dad has been sick and in and out of hospital the last two weeks, which has meant lots of driving for me (the hospital is 5 hours away from here - I went twice in 2 weeks), although our eldest son has tickets booked for England at the end of the month, so getting him organised will take some time and we will have to take him to Sydney to the airport but that isn't too far.

We are just back at school, no big plans - soccer season starts tomorrow, coldest day since last winter has been forecast...

Hoping to get lots of scrapping done this month, we shall see as unexpected things crop up all the time.

Sorry to hear that your Dad has been sick Karen. I hope he'll feel better soon!

Jan, my boys both had b-days within the last month too and my hubby AND our anniversary! Totally crazy in the the spring! :)

We don't have much going on for May except soccer. I'm toying with the idea of painting the stairs down to our basement. They used to have carpet on them which I ripped off two summers ago when I re-did the rest of the basement. We were going to pay to have someone rebuild the stairs, but since it's been so long, I'm thinking that it's not going to happen anytime soon and that I might just paint them to make them look decent at least until we do finish that project. I also want to install a light above those stairs, but have NO idea how to do that.

End of school activities here. Field Day next week, my son has a test at the local college this month for his dual credit classes this summer, I still need to register for my summer class, Mother's Day is coming up, Teacher Appreciation Week...wow I thought we weren't doing a lot. I did go through alllll my daughters clothes and shoes and took a basket to the local resale store to sell yesterday and netted myself a hefty store credit. Nice way to start the month :).

Hhmmmm . . . I have finals next week, studying this weekend and not getting anywhere because of a little green fellow named Bart! ;) ;) Friday I have commencement, after that . . . no plans. Yet. :) :)

take a little end of school year craziness with the kids, beginning of summer craziness at work, add in a few closets that desperately need to be cleaned out in the kids rooms and shake until i just sit in a corner and scrapbook all day long!! ;)
