So, it is raining yet again outside my window and I'm not super happy about getting out in it. I love the rain and the rolling thunder that I'm hearing when I have nothing else to do, but get annoyed with it when I have to run around out in it.

Plus, if we have more than one rainy day in a row, the kids start losing their freakin' minds. Another negative, hehe.

Do you like the rain? Are you skeered of thunderstorms? Do you live in the desert (like my DH family) and are wondered what the big deal is? Is it still snowing where you are *gasp*?

We're finally seeing sunny skies where I am. I enjoy the rain if I can stay home... and if it's only for one day. I don't like it when it's rainy days on end. I do enjoy a good thunderstorm, too. I always loved watching the storms roll in during monsoon season when I lived in southern Arizona.

it took until late last night for the rain to get to us. it is steadily raining now and I think it is supposed to be until maybe Tuesday morning. Today should be fine since we will only get out to go to church and then not much else for the day - tomorrow will be another story! it will be hard to get the kids (and me) up, and the kids start getting stir crazy at home and especially at school if they can't get out and stretch a little!

Where we live now, we're always in need of more rain so it's always a welcome sight here! I grew up in ND and lived in St. Louis for a few years and I have a degree in meteorology so I'm a big fan of storms. We don't really get good thunderstorms where we live now so I do miss them but I don't miss the threat of tornados, etc, either.

Well seeing as we are still getting snow in April and have 3 foot snow banks I'll have to get back to you on hating the rain... ;)

We've had lots of rain this last week here in Jersey, but the last two days were gorgeous. I have no complaints about rain! I am so happy that winter's gone away!

We've had some rain and an awesome storm a few nights ago. I will not complain as long as whatever is falling is not ice or snow! But it's been mostly sunny and temps have climbed to the 60's and 70's. I'm super excited!! Trying to get outside as much as possible. The winter was so long and awful.

I absolutely love thunderstorms! I could sit and watch lightning for hours.

we have just had the driest Summer in 26 years here and didn't think it was possible that I would miss the rains after the flooding here a couple of years ago but my garden was looking pretty darn sad until we had a big storm pass over us yesterday ... the grass greened up over night! Yay!

i'm with robin ... the last 2 days were beautiful and very spring like (i'm in NY). i'm a sunshine girl, but i do like storms (exciting!) and rain (soothing) when i don't have to run around in it (like jen said) & can just chill at home. it just can't last too long. :P

for me ... i'd rather have rain, than a gloomy cloudy day with no rain.

I LOVE the rain - but maybe that is because I live in the west where we don't get it often. But even when I lived on the east coast and it rained more often I loved it. I don't mind being out in it either, so long as I'm dressed for it.

We moved from the west side of the state where we got 300 days of rain, to the east side of the state, where we get 300 days of sun. Will.not.ever.move.back

I love the rain. I hate gloomy days with no rain. But luckily this spring break week we are having amazing gorgeous weather!

Well seeing as we are still getting snow in April and have 3 foot snow banks I'll have to get back to you on hating the rain... ;)

I will not complain. Much. We got about 1/4 inch of snow this winter :giggle. And it was really more like wet ice. I'll keep the rain, thank you very much. But enough is enough.

*sigh* I LOVE the RAIN! If I had to choose a "spirit weather pattern," rain would be it! :) While I don't miss the tornadoes of living in the midwest, I do miss the rainstorms that would precede them.. And I don't mind going out in it - in fact, I love it... if I don't have my kids to shuffle to/from the car, that is. . Some of our most fun memories are stomping around in the rain together.. :) Ahhh.. rain... :heartslub

We have had so many rainy days this autumn - it's unheard of here. The drought from a few years ago is still very fresh in our memories so I will take as many rainy days as I can...

Think all it does in the uk is rain, makes you miserable think you feel more inclined to spring clean etc when the sun is shining

Apparently we had a couple days of lots of rain while we were in Florida last week. A couple friends texted to let us know what we were missing and then we got a text about a flood warning on our phones too. Happily that rain melted all the snow in our yard while we were gone and my spring flower and really popping up now! Yay!

I don't mind rain or thunderstorms. I think they are cool to listen to and watch out the window. The only time I hate them is when we are camping. We are tent campers and there is only so much water a tent can hold out! :giggle

I don't mind thunderstorms, but I do not like the tornados that are often associated with them. Especially at night, it makes me nervous when a thunderstorm comes through & I have to worry abt whether a tornado is going to come through, too.

We already have almost as much rain in the first week of April than we usually have all month, so hopefully, it'll clear out for the rest of this week. It's FINALLY in the 50s and 60s after being abnormally cold since November.
