What do you eat for lunch?

I'm the WORST about going and grabbing carryout, and I'm trying to be better about it. I can't really eat bread, so sandwiches don't always work for me. I like salad, but that gets old. I'm at a loss.

Leftovers...seriously, a smaller portion of whatever we had for dinner is usually what I eat. Today however it was a strawberry smoothie because we had no leftovers from last night.

I'm curious what everyone else eats too.

um. i just ate some left over mashed potatoes. well balanced lunch :p

I haven't been eating lunch for the last couple months with DH working second shift, but more of a lupper with him once DD is napping and before he leaves for the night. However, he is being transferred to days Monday, so I guess I better figure something out!

Quesadillas, leftovers, PB&J, mac 'n' cheese... nothing special. :)

I'm lazy. And I don't really like sandwiches. So a lot of times I eat soup or leftovers. Or peanut butter on crackers. LOL. Such a fancy-pants lunch.

I'm like Tracy - usually leftovers from dinner the night before. I'm excited for my lunch today because we had Sweet Pork Salads for dinner last night. Yumm!

I am so very fortunate to work for the schools so I get to eat for free at the Jr High. Today was Pizza day for the kids and the cafeteria ladies do baked potatoes and salads for the teachers/staff.

Today's Lunch:
Baked potato w/ cheese, sour cream
Salad w/ ranch dressing
Baja soup (Chicken Enchilada)
Mandarin oranges
Spice cake
Ice Tea

Yesterday was Chicken Thursday because every Thursday is some kind of chicken. Lunch was:
Chicken Nuggets
Mashed Potatoes w/ gravy
Green Beans
Diced Pears
Iced Tea

I've applied for a different job as Payroll Supervisor which includes a substantial raise so if I get that job, I won't be able to eat for free any more. But with the raise, I probably can afford to go eat some place nice too.

I seem to get stuck on the same thing until I get burned out on it. Here are some of my favorites:
lunch meat, cheese, crackers
grilled chicken (I get the pre grilled kind at Sam's) with almonds and chopped apple
Chicken salad (I make it with canned chicken, mayo, walnuts, grapes and it lasts a week or so)
protein bar
chicken quesadilla
homemade breakfast burrito
leftover soup from the freezer
peanut butter on crackers
weight watchers smart ones meals

Turkey or chicken sandwich with yogurt & fruit.
Salad (I try to put chicken or tuna on it for protein) with yogurt and wasa crackers & WW garlic and herb cheese
Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine meal
Leftover from dinner

Ugh... lunch is my most loathed meal. I wish I didn't even have to eat it. I never know what to eat and I mostly just end up eating whatever's left over of something like canned soup...

ughh - lunch is a problem for me too ... i want to start making some veggie + quinoa kind of salads in advance and having those - or maybe some soup? IDK - right now i'm just snacking on a bunch of junk and overeating!

Leftovers are hard to come by with 13.5 and 10.5 year old boys in the house... unless I sneak and stash some away for work..it is usually some kind of frozen meal, a salad or sandwich... blah, pretty boring, I know..LOL!

I usually have a salad for lunch. I have been trying really hard to bring my lunch with me to work and I have been mixing it up so that I don't get board. Some of my recent creations: apples, craisins and walnuts; grapes, pears, feta; mozzarella, roasted peppers and chicken; pasta, salsa, green peppers. I almost always get the mixed green salad mix and sometimes add a bit more spinach. For dressing, I use raspberry vinaigrette or oil and white balsamic and maybe some seasoning.

I end up grabbing a sandwich, muffin and diet coke most days when I'm at uni - type depends on how quickly I get there as to what is left

Green Smoothies are my new lunch of choice. :) Filling and really good for me. I need good for me right now!

I only get a quick 15 minute lunch at my desk, so I have to pack a lunch every day. Sometimes I eat frozen meals, but they never seem to satisfy me, so I either eat leftovers from the night before or I make a batch of soup at the beginning of the week and eat some of that and usually some veggies or an apple or a cheese stick or yogurt. Lots of easy to grab and go things when I getting lunch in the morning.
