How often do you get your hair done? Do you just get a cut or a colour as well? And if you are comfortable sying so, how much do you usually spent on a trip to the hair salon?

I get a cut about every 2 months. I usually colour at home but sometimes get highlights done in a salon.

For the last 2 years I have been getting my haircut in the city for $15, but now I am in a new country I am thinking it's time to splash out. I have just booked in at one of the most expensive salons in KL and it will cost $90 just for a cut.

never.. i've had my hair cut professionally only maybe 2 times and they botched it both times. So I cut my own hair (have since i was a teenager) and pllb. I haven't dyed my hair in about a year and a half now-- and it's very sad sad. :p

I'm at the salon every 8-10 weeks to get it thinned out and trimmed. I have a professional color done once a year and the rest I do myself. Just a shampoo, cut, and style is $45 and a color will run me about $80.

Like twice a year. I'm awful. I hate talking on the phone, which makes getting the appointment difficult (although now I have a hairdresser I can contact on FB haha). Plus, I'm lazy. I don't want to be aggravated to go there. So it just gets longer until I can't stand it anymore, and I have it cut drastically. lol

I usually get my hair done every 2-3 months. I get a color (usually highlights and another color), wash cut and blow dry. I also get my brows done and it cost about $100.

I would like to get it done abt 4x a year, but lately, it's worked out to just 2x a year (roots -- yuck!). Too bad Manda doesn't live closer so I could force her to do my hair. :giggle

I get a cut, color, and eyebrow wax. This last time I got an overall color + highlights + cut + eyebrow wax, and it was just under $100 (plus tip). That's a great price for this area, and I really like my stylist, too.

I've gotten the same things done at the salon where my mom goes, and it's been twice that price (so I only got everything done the one time!). I've told her so, but she's been with her stylist (who owns the salon) for 20 years, so I think she would pay him anything he asked just to not have to deal with finding another stylist.

I get my hair done every 8-10 weeks~ Highlights, cut and blow dry. This used to run me about $100 with tip, but now I am going to my cousin and she charges me less, plus I get to spend time with her which I love too!

Every 4 weeks I get it colored and I get it trimmed. I'm gray now...so I have to go every 4 weeks to cover it. It's not just a "little" gray...I'm totally gray.

It's anywhere from $90 - $120 and I usually tip her about $30.

I'm with Debra, every 4 weeks for the roots and the trim. I'm about 85 to 90% gray, says the hairdresser. It's $60 plus tip each time. I've been going to the same person (okay... thinking back... she gave my youngest his first haircut and he's now 18....) for a very long time.

I color my own (have for years) so $7.00 for a box of color about every 5-6 weeks.

I am one of those people who can't book an appointment because I just get tired of it and spontaneously want it cut...LIKE NOW! I just go to Great Clips as a walk-in and there are two people there that I like...$12 and I'm done...usually every 6-8 weeks.

I get mine cut about twice a year and I'm looking for a new stylist since mine raised her rates. I have never colored my hair - I'm waiting until I find a gray hair - but I've always liked my color.

i get my hair cut about 3 or 4 times each year. lately, i've just been getting it done at great clips or similar b/c i have a pretty simple haircut and i haven't noticed a difference b/tw a $50 haircut and a $12 haircut. i used to pay a lot more when i had shorter hair and needed a better cut. i also color my own hair for very little $$ - like $10/year :)

however - if i found a really good stylist who gave me suggestions and did a great cut, i'd be happy to pay for it. i just haven't found anyone like that in my new town. (i've tried 3 different places in town and no one was that great... my aunt is a hairdresser and i love how she cuts my hair - i wish we lived closer!)

Too bad Manda doesn't live closer so I could force her to do my hair. :giggle

I know - I could get my hands on all ya'all!!! :) Too bad gas is too high too - otherwise we could make a 2x a year trip out of it, and scrapbook also!

I get mine done about every 8 weeks - not always color - that part just depends on what color I am at the moment and how much root growth I have and if it shows! I love to play with color though, but at least if it is all over color I can whip it in myself and feel comfortable with it since it's still professional! For highlights and a cut I pay about $75, and that is at a fellow cosmetologists home salon!

I go every 6-7 weeks for a cut and we do a partial highlight every other time and on the opposite time we do just 3 or 4 foils to break things up. My hair is not terribly different than the highlight, so I don't really get bad roots. Cost varies on how many foils etc. and if I am buying product too. Right about $110+tip when I do the works. About $50+tip when it just a few and my cut.

I'm a major procrastinator when it come to doing anything with my hair. I color it myself and always let it go way longer than I should. When I wear it longer, I only get it cut once or twice a year. Right now, it's the shortest I've had it in ages. I got it cut about 5 weeks ago, and already it's definitely in need of at least a trim, so I'll probably go ahead and do that next week... or the week after... or...

I had a gal I loved that did cuts from her home for $15, but she quit to spend more time with her kids. :cry I can't afford anything too pricey, so now I just pop into Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's, which are each within about 5 minutes of my house. It ends up running me anywhere from about $18-$30, depending on what I have done and whether I get sucked into buying any product. :p

I used to go to Great Clips because I was always impatient like Tracy mentioned being. But the last couple of times I went to GC, they messed it up so much, I bawled my eyes out.

Now I found a girl I really like. I just got back from the salon and dropped $110 plus tip for a partial foil and cut/style. I wish I could go more often, but at that price, since I'm not working and spend too much on digi scrap supplies, I have to be strategic and just get it done before major events. This month, I'm going to Artfest, so I had to do something with my hair (plus it was just too long/flat/unruly).

I just got layers and bangs! :D It feels so much better.

Every 3-4 weeks for a cut (my hair grows super fast!) and every 6-8 weeks for color. Last night, I got my hair cut, colored and highlighted and it was $88.00. :)

i have super short hair that grows fast (with lots of gray), so i usually go over 4-6 wks.

Too bad Manda doesn't live closer so I could force her to do my hair. :giggle

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this for sure!

i get mine done 2-3 times a year..if that. i tend to keep it in really long and easy styles (growing it out again since my chop job a while back)... don't usually do much with color BUT my greys (sigh, from all the TLP stress...er....joys?! hahahha. j/k) are finally starting to peek through and, in my super dark hair, they really show. so, i'm debating what to do - either go with demi-perm color type at the salon or just buy a box. ah, the dilemmas.
