It's the last day of the month, wahooo!

On March 1st, I decided to go 'Caffiene Free' and see how I would feel in a month. It really wasn't as bad as I thought and I've increased my water intake by about 1000%! Yeah, I wasn't much of a water drinker at all! My goal was to drink 1/2 my weight in water every day and, to be honest, I do feel better and I've dropped a few pounds too.

Have you gone Caffiene Free?!? How do you feel?

Way to go Mel!! I think that is awesome!
Im not sure i would survive if i did that, I cant do without my Pepsi for a day..lol. But I do drink alot of water from morning till noon. Then hhave my soda. then drink water after till I go to bed.

That's awesome Melanie!

Now that I have eliminated the soda, going on and off of coffee hasn't been that hard. I agree that when I do stop drinking coffee, I drink a lot more water! I've been playing with an idea similar to yours - going one month with drinking ONLY WATER. I wonder how it would make me feel.

i have done that, usually when i was preggo or BFing (always end up quitting cold turkey, too). but, i don't drink a lot anyway - maybe have a coke or tea a couple of times a week. GL!

I have been caffeine free for a while now as in exercise to see if it would stop my migraines. I drink caffeine free tea (can't cope without tea!) and even caffeine-free diet coke every now and then but the real killer for me is no chocolate. THAT's hard!

I go caffeine free for short periods of time. Coffee seems to make me tired if I've been having it daily for a while, so then I go off for a week. I always come back to the caffeine though. But I don't drink much anyway...usually.

Well done for going a whole month without it! That's a huge goal!

I don't drink caffeine, for some reason it gives me migraines - which is so weird since I know plenty of people who treat
their migraines with caffeine. Go figure, lol!

I have loved caffeine diet coke for years and I sorta freaked when I recently learned more about the ingredient: aspartame.
I still don't know tons about it, but it freaked me out enough to drop diet coke almost 3 months ago. It has been painful!
I would drink one a day, so obviously there are more extreme cases, but I still think about it, a LOT. lol.

I guess I do get my fair share of caffeine with those darn Cadbury mini eggs, though... they are TOO good!

I love cold water. I drink like 5 liters a day, and I rarely drink soda, usually just if I'm about to crash OR if I'm having really good pizza. ; )

I went completely caffeine free several years ago, and after the first 2 weeks of thinking I might die, I couldn't believe how much better I felt.

Congrats on accomplishing your goal!

Very cool. Melanie! Congrats!

I've never really tried to go completely caffeine free, although I don't have tons of it. I don't like coffee or tea, so it's mainly just soda. I'm sure I would be fine once I adjusted, but the headaches I get when I don't have it are enough to put me off trying right now. I might consider it this summer though, when I don't have to be up so gosh darn early!

I recently tried to quit the Coke Zero but was unsuccessful. I got down to two in the morning with the hopes of getting down to one. Not going so well!! Congrats to all ye caffeine-free folks!! I'll get there... some day.

I need to go caffeine free one of these days - I buy a couple of cans of diet coke a day but need to change to water, have no excuse since I have a water filter water bottle

YEY congrats Mel :)
I'm totally quit pepsi, which is a HUGE deal for me since I used to drink 6 a day.
for the last 2 weeks i haven't had any, but I've been drinking green tea all day instead lol.

Well, I'm not totally caffeine free because I do drink one cup of coffee in the morning, but I've gone to caffeine free Diet Mt. Dew (which I try not to have every day) and caffeine-free tea.

I don't think I could make it 4 hours. :rofl

This! Between no coffee and no chocolate I would die. We did cut way back on the soda though..we used to always by cans of soda to keep in our fridge and now it's only a special treat when we go out (and usually we just have water when we go out cuz soda is so expensive at restaurants).
