Pad Patter: 3/20 Online Shopping

Love, love Amazon prime. I also do lots of clothes shopping for the kids on Gap and Old Navy - free shipping and free returns if you have a Silver card (which I do). 6pm gets lots of my money for shoes as well as an occasional DSW purchase.

Oh, and Sephora as well since they also have free returns.

I only shop online, because it's the only option for me to shop. I don't mind though, on a rare occasion 3 months ago I found myself at Target, my husband needed something and I was in my Wheelie with him and looking at all the shelves made me so nauseated and exhausted. I realized that online I look at one product at the time and in a store your eyes glance from one product to another. I love sitting comfortably and shopping in my own time. Sometimes at night like now, it's 1:22 AM at the Pacific and I can not sleep I do some retail therapy. Tonight I managed my sutomatic shopping list that I have am Amazon, you know all the bulky stuff like paper towels, garbage bags, toilet paper, bubble water, breakfast cookies etc. They send it to me once a month and I don't have to do anything. It magically appears on my doorstep. And of course at night is an excellent time to do some shopping here at the Lillypad, who can resist a scrap sale? I can't. Amazon gets also most of my money, just because they have everything and I always use their prime so free shipping. Living at the West coast does make a difference in shipping times.

I love Woot, fab.com, Heartsy, Zulily and for my pets doggyloot. They have great sales! Petfood for my kitties also comes from Amazon once a month, the doggies eat raw from a local company called Columbia River raw petfood and that also gets delivered ;-)
I used to shop for clothes and occasionally I still do but mostly comfy but stylish things I can wear in and out bed. My clothes still come from Holland where a girlfriend has a clothing store with whimsical style that is mine. if I see something she will pack a box with the clothes and add some homeland goodies like Stroopwafels(syrup waffles) and chocolate sprinkles and licorice. A survival package ;-)

I'm an espresso addict and that it the only thing I will not buy online, we will go to a roaster and get fresh beans. YUM!

You guys are making me miss the US so much!!...and online shopping.

Amandajane, have you looked into using one of those postal services, mostly located in Florida? I used one when we lived in France. At the time we had lived for 3 years in California, coming from Germany and after those 3 years we went to France. I knew I was going to miss all the shopping, the catalogs etc. And back than stores weren't set up for international shipping. Plus we wanted to maintain our bank account and not if we ever were going to come back start all over to build a credit history. One of most difficult things to do in this country for an immigrant. So we used a postal service. You get an address and all mail and packages are send to that address. At your preferences they will re-pack your packages all very economical in one or more boxes and mail will be stuffed in a large envelop and all will be send once a month or whenever you want. I could look at the mail online and click a box if I wanted it to be destroyed, like a catalog I didn't want or offers for new insurance etc. Loved their service and it kept me sane during the first year in France. I used their service for 3 years and never had a complaint. They usually ship all over the world.
have you tried using Amazon Australia? Would that make a difference?

I do 99% of my shopping online.
Yes.... I am a hermit that HATES to go out. HAHA!!

I do some online shopping, much more around the holidays - mostly at Amazon. <3 Amazon :)

Hmm...I shop Sephora (loooove them), Ulta, Urban Decay, (are you sensing the makeup theme?!), Old Navy, Fossil, Amazon, Barnes and Noble on my Nook Color, and iTunes.

just computer stuff mainly because I can get free delivery but since one of my main shops has opened up a retail store one block away from uni I'll go there
