Pad Patter: 2/20 Grocery Shopping?

I like grocery shopping, and Nick never tags along. He knows that grocery shopping involves at least 3 stores, sometimes as many as 6. Tom will shop with me if it's a weekend, but honestly I sort of like going alone. I like to wander and look. I spend less when he's with me, though.

This is me, precisely. I enjoy grocery shopping. Food is one of the things I actually spend quite a lot on (more than I should or more than we plan, I should say). I love to wander, shop for recipes, indulge in my "foodie"ness.

I dream of going to the grocery store alone, not in a rush, and at non-crowded times. I don't mind it if all of those things come together :)

Going on weekday mornings before 10:30 am OR going Friday or Saturday night after 10 pm is like that. Don't ask me how I know. ;)

I hate going grocery shopping, but I'm very good at it as I've now gotten it down to a science. I can drive to the store (10-12 minutes from our house), shop, and be back home in an hour.

Not a fan of grocery shopping but it depends on circumstances... have to go today, hoping Mom can watch my little guy.

I always go on Monday evening and apparently a lot of other people in my town do the same. It's just habit now after years of doing it though, so I just keep it up. Our store is really big so it's not too crowded that you can't get around. I always plan my menu for the week and then make my list depending on what I need only for that menu.

Sometimes I take my two boys with me if we have something else going on in the evening and we'll go right after school. I don't mind too much anymore because they know that I will exact major consequences if they aren't on their best behavior. Plus, our grocery store has self check out and my boys make a great two man bagging team. They bag while I scan and we are in and out pretty fast! :)

I like grocery shopping. My husband and I leave the kids at home and go Sunday mornings. The store is always quiet. We call it our date. :)

I shop mostly sale items and stock up on them. So if chicken is on sale I'll buy maybe 25lbs. This week fish was on sale so I stocked up. I don't buy packaged food and I try to buy organic if possible so I try to only get what's on sale and make my menu from it. My husband though has a habit of sneaking food in the cart (usually candy) as if I'm not going to see it at check out lol. He's a 58 year old kid lol.
