I just had the most enjoyable experience grocery shopping...albeit my bags are still in the van...but the shopping was lovely.
No kids, a full list with menu and hardly anyone at the shop! It was pure bliss!
That ever happen for any one else, or have I been beamed up into a parallel universe where this happens?

LOL - I actually don't mind grocery shopping. I always go on Monday, which is my day off. I never bring my daughter, and I always have a list and menu and I go around 9 am - before it's too busy but just late enough that the fresh produce is stocked.

LOL - I have been there. It's a rare thing to have the store not be a crazy mess!! I do, however, make a list from my menu plan, and stick to that. I've been doing that for years- ever since taking the Financial Peace class by Dave Ramsey. I used to shop w/ a calculator, too but after doing that for years, it got to where I didn't need it anymore because I would know what things would cost. Both the list and calculator really helped us stick to a budget. :)

I like grocery shopping, and Nick never tags along. He knows that grocery shopping involves at least 3 stores, sometimes as many as 6. Tom will shop with me if it's a weekend, but honestly I sort of like going alone. I like to wander and look. I spend less when he's with me, though.

I'm just getting to ready to go shopping, I don't mind it most of the time

Ty comes with, we meet Tim on the bus on his way home from work and all go together, I need Tim for the packing and carrying LOL

Tim has just called he is on the bus

Better run .........

My husband does the main grocery shopping on his way home from work. He has the car, and we always need lots of stuff. I love going shopping with the whole family, but my husband thoroughly dislikes it, so he'd rather go alone.

I love going on Friday morning early - my day off, and I go as soon as the kids are dropped off at school. Preferably with a list and a plan in mind, and I can enjoy the shopping in peace! If the kids go with me, i probably say no 50 times, and if the hubs goes with me, we end up with nothing but snacks in the cabinets!

This year I have all my girls in school for the first time. The first time I went to the grocery store by myself I got so excited, and actually made it home with everything on my list! Then I had to wonder if my life is a little sad when a solo trip to the grocery store is such a momentous occasion…hmmm..ha ha.

I don't mind grocery shopping if the checkout isn't too long but if I have to stand in line for 10-15 minutes it drives me nuts. I usually flip thru magazines or check out pinterest on my phone while I wait. I also hate putting all the groceries away too.

Sitting waiting for the bus so thought if pop in and add that I don't normally write a list but since joining slimming world last week I'm trying to meal plan in advance so have a list for today xx

Nope, never this area where we live has gotten over crowded in the last 5-7 years to the point of bumping into people anywhere you are.

The supermarket was so quite we took a nice stroll round and spent a small fortune - eating clean and healthy is expensive!

I usually go the first hour the store opens up, which is between 7 and 8 AM here and then there is hardly anyone in the store but the employees. That makes shopping a lot more tolerable for me as I normally detest it! :)

I wish that was available where I live. I have a chronic illness and it's something I'm not currently able to do. A friend from church willingly helps out by doing it for us so if it wasn't for her, I'd never get to see my hubby as he's a farmer and they have crazy hours.

I order my groceries online and have them delivered on Monday mornings. :-)

Ah, groceries. I have a marvelous app on my iPad where I can add recipes from online sites, preplan meals, make a grocery list, and do all sorts of things. But do I remember to use it? Anyway, I seem to go to the grocery store every day. When my daughter's home, she loves to go with me (?!?!). I prefer going to the store in the mornings when it's virtually empty and I'm so zombie-ish the entire experience is a blur. I've been there on the day before Thanksgiving, and it's a ZOO. I'm just about on a first name basis with the staff there.

I don't mind grocery shopping, even with the kids. They like to help. Our boys like it more now that they can read and they love to show their skills by reading my list. :) I keep a good list and we rarely deviate.

When my hubby goes shopping it hits the fan. He brings home ridiculous snacks and junk and spends a ton. So, he rarely goes. :)

I was just thinking the other day about all the wild shopping trips I used to make when I was a SAHM with our 3. Our twins were too small to walk so I'd have them in the double stroller. Then our daughter (2 or 3 at the time) would walk alongside the stroller while I pushed it with one hand and pulled the shopping cart behind me. Ha! Those were the days.

I enjoy grocery shopping if it wasn't for the number of times in a week I do it cause I don't drive. When I am on my own in April/May I might do online grocery shopping to make it easier.

I usually go in the mornings after I drop my daughter off at school. I don't mind going most times. The worst trips are when I go in the store with no idea in mind of what we will be eating and I end up buying way too much.
