I dislike it, too. Seems like everyone these days doesn't like it.

When I'm on it, I spend way too much time. I have a couple girlfriends who are long distance that I love to talk to, but we're on for hours at a time when we talk.

I think you are exactly right. LOL It probably IS why we are all here.

I don't really enjoy talking on the phone either. I talk to my parents because they live 1000 miles away and are technically challenged, so phone is easiest. I'd much rather talk to my IRL friends in person. Although, Kelly and I do spend an insane amount of time on the phone with each other.

depends on the person calling LOL I love to call my mother and the other family members, but that´s it. I cant stand it talking hours on the phone (I have a friend, that is living far away from me and talking to her, means two hours on the phone minimum - I´m always happy, when the battery is low LOL

wow I'm surprised how many hate the phone! But yeah I'm one as well!
I will text, email, msn, chatroom with you all day, but try calling me and I'll probably ignore you! lol

For me it's just that my brain works better with the written word. Brain to fingers works fine. Brain to mouth has some major connection problems!

I used to talk on the phone alllllllllllllllllllll the time. Now I talk to my best friend for probably 30 minutes every other day (sometimes every day LOL) and my mom once or twice a week and our grandmas about once a month. And that's it. I love that with texting you can just ask a quick question and be done with it - you don't have to make small talk or chit chat for 10 minutes just to ask a 10 second question. LOL

I am a screener. I don't mind talking on the phone, but I have to know you! I have 3 sisters and the 4 of us have all been stay at home moms until recently (2 of them started working now that their kiddos are all in school). We would spend hours on the phone while doing house work or folding laundry, etc. I was so thankful back in the day (like 10 + years ago) when they started unlimited long distance with land lines. We seem to talk less now, but I still talk to one of them probably daily.

Wow, who knew phone hating was so common?! I don't like talking on the phone either, unless it's with my parents. We email, but only talk on the phone about once a month. Sometimes it's nice just to hear their voices. :)

I talk mostly with my parents/sisters and few of my close friends on the phone. I hate texting. Caller ID is the best invention ever. I always screen incoming calls.

    I screen all calls.

I am on the phone for a good portion of the day with my IRL job - so I tend not to use it as much after hours.

I normally don't talk on the phone much, but I do hate texting long things, so with my mom, I'd rather just talk on the phone. My really really good friend for a billion years and I will talk on the phone for an hour to two, but it is because we only do that every few months and there's lots of catching up.

I hate the phone, but I'll talk to my mom and dad often and lately my husband since he's out of town right now... but that's about it. My sisters call sometimes too I guess. I prefer email. Then again, my emails have been SO many lately that I'm kind of fed up with that too.

LOL. I'm there too. I have a good friend who lives on the east coast and I just have a hard time sitting down to send her a big long email all of the time. If I can get on the computer, I'd rather be scrapping. I'm such a bad friend. Ugh.
