Well, today marks the end of Football Season! And it's the game of the year... at least for those who care about it :whistle

So, what are your plans?

Are you watching the big game with friends using it as an excuse to party?
Are you watching it alone or with family?
Will you be enjoying the time that others in your house are watching it *cough*?

Are you making any fun snacks you want to share?
Are you a Broncos or Seahawks fan?

Are you reading this and saying "What is this SuperBowl of which you speak?" :giggle

Let's hear it, Ladies!

Well my DD has swim practice from 6-7 tonight so we are going to miss a good deal of the first part of the game. So after we get back and she gets showered and into bed, then DH and I will eat and watch it. Until I get bored and go to bed, lol. I rarely stay up for the whole game.

No Super Bowl for me but it might be on cuz my boy is interested. I look forward to watching the commercials after the fact.

We aren't NFL fans, so I doubt we'll watch. We may flip back now and then for the commercials, though.

Not even remotely interested. And since I've seen the Budweiser commercial already, I don't even need to watch to see that!

I like to watch the commercials and halftime, so we usually have family over and talk during the game, LOL!! Tonight, I think it may end up just being me and my husband. Not a football fan at all, so I don't care who wins.

We are going over to some friends' house for a little bit of the game. We're Colts fans, so we're not really cheering anyone on. I figured we'd cheer for the Broncos b/c of Peyton but JOel just said we need to get Seahawks jerseys?? I'm not getting gear for either team. LOL This was Luke's birthday weekend so I don't plan on spending much time over there... I need to make sure my lesson plans are ready & we need SLEEP! :)

We will go over to our friends house just to hang out and eat good food! The game will be on in their theater room - which has a screen so big you feel like you are at the game, but I don't generally watch - like to catch some commercials though. The girls usually keep eye over the kiddos playing while the guys watch the game! I'm looking forward to a good night!

Not interested at all!!! I will watch FB for posts about the must see commercials, go to YouTube and watch them there. Saves me a lot of time! ;-)

Ok enlighten me ..... I'm in the UK and I know that the Super Bowl can be a HUGE deal in the states but what is the deal with having to see the commercials?

Since the Super Bowl is one of the most watched sporting events here in the states, companies usually go all out and try to come up w/ the best/funniest/coolest ads just for the game. They also have to a pay pretty penny just to get an advertising slot during the game so they usually like to make sure their ad is noticed. Some years the ads are better than others but usually there's at least 3-5 that stand out as pretty good to awesome.

Yes, it's probably the most watched event on tv all year, so advertisers go all out and blow their budgets...just the spot to air your commercial goes for millions, and that's before you ever film anything. They debut all new commericals and they're usually very interesting. More interesting than football anyway, LOL!

We're watching and having our own private little party with lots of good food. Can't party too hard with work tomorrow morning. I would love it if they would move it to Sat night haha. Love football and love the commercials. DH is a Cowboys fan and I am an Eagles fan, so neither of us has a team in the mix, but football is good no matter what. I'm sad to see the season end.

Ok I understand now - might even YouTube the commercials xx

I know what the SuperBowl is, and there's probably some American theme bar in town I could watch it at, but I didn't care when I lived in the States and I haven't started since I left. lol

Growing up, I did enjoy the snacks and stuff my mom made, but it's just not my bag.

Daughters are coming over and we'll probably just order pizza and nosh on a few snacks. Hopefully I can do some scrapping during the game. :-)

The game is being played just a few miles from me in New Jersey, but I'm not very interested. I'm sure all the good ads will be on YouTube tomorrow! That's about as much as I plan to watch. I like the halftime show they did on SNL last night with Melissa McCarthy!

I'm going over to my sister's house to start on a Super Bowl feast. They are big football fans in their house and also really good cooks, but I doubt I'll stay to watch the game. We can see the stadium from over there so they'll probably have a nice view if there's fireworks or something later.

I'm disappointed about how New Jersey's getting shafted in all this. The roads were never fixed. The businesses aren't booming like they hyped. The hotel rooms aren't even full. Super Bowl wouldn't even sanction any of the pre-game events being held in the towns where the game is being held! They had to call the parties things like "Winterfest"! So lame.
