Pad Patter 2/13: Other crafty hobbies

Oh goodness yes! I have always been crafty... like crazy! My brother in law has always lovingly called me Aunt Karen even before they were married and had kids because he'd tease me that I was going to be that crazy aunt like in the Christmas story that makes ugly pink bunny jammies to give away as gifts. LOL! If there's a hobby out there, I've probably done it. Here's a list:

Make beaded jewelry (almost as much as I scrapbook)
Stained Glass
Knit
Crochet (much better at this than knitting)
Stamped cards
cross stitch (but not anymore)
quilting (but I'm not good at that one)
furniture refinishing
Candle making

I haven't tried soap yet but now I'm kind of thinking I should!

I used to cross stitch, the really fancy stuff. I did one huge eagle that took about two years to finish. Then a friend introduced me to quilting and I did that for about five years. Then she suggested scrapbooking which we used to do in college. She's still doing paper. I moved to digi and it's my main hobby now.

I might be tempted to break out that sewing machine when I have grandkids in about 8 to 10 years. Not sure if my eyes could hold up to crocheting at this point. I tried making a blanket once but I never could remember how to "make the turn" once I finished a row. Had to give that up ; )
