    Headache. Camper. Gus.

    #1: Self-explanatory. And it sucks.
#2: Apparently we are going camper shopping when I get off work. I don't think this is going to make #1 better.
#3: My Guster is 2 years old today!!!

    1. Laundry 2. 4H 3. Cleaning

The sad thing is I have to do laundry before we go to DDs 4H meeting (plus I need to get a couple of loads done this afternoon). The cleaning part is we're trying to unbury the collection of junk from our office/ school room.

    One More Day

Last night we took our dog to the vet. He has switched to a different cancer drug and hopefully we will have her with us through the weekend. It is family day weekend here in Canada, and the thought of celebrating it without her broke my heart. So I am grateful, so grateful, for each day left with her. I'm going to spend the day reading a book and sitting on the floor with her, giving her lots of cuddles.

The hard part for me is that she is normal: alert, happy, playful, herself; but she has this large tumour in her mouth. She has no pain, just doesn't like this thing in her mouth. If she was depressed or feeble, it would be easier for me I think. But with a vibrant dog, somehow euthanasia seems wrong.

    cookies | laundry | meeting

Just got the last of the Girl Scout cookies out of my garage. The leader took the order for the one girl who's parents have been ignoring me and is going to deliver them to them whether they like it or not. :giggle

Did 3 loads of laundry yesterday. Have about 5 more to do before I can see my bathroom floor again.

Tonight is the info meeting for parents of next year's incoming middle-schoolers. I can't believe my youngest will be in middle school soon! :dizzy

    Shopping - Therapy - Valentines

I'm in charge of the 2nd grade class party tomorrow, so I need to run to the store and grab a few things for that. This afternoon my oldest son has a behavioral therapy appointment (for his selective mutism), and this evening I'll be helping my kids get their Valentines ready for school tomorrow.

Heather - I'm so sorry about your dog. Big hugs!

    Mother-in-Law / Hospital / Stroke

Yep.....my MIL had a stroke yesterday and we're back at the hospital today. She is improving which the doctors may believe is more about her blood pressure and that she hadn't been taking it properly but she may have a couple of 'stroke' effects like the right hand and right leg being numb and unable to use. But she is talking this morning and doing better than we thought, especially for an 88 y/o woman!

Ooooh, Heather, I'm so sorry to hear about your pups illness. My hound passed away from cancer and it ripped my heart out. I didn't think I'd make it through that last day. I knew it was time. My vet kept telling me - if he wakes up and is still himself then today is not the day. Your pup will let you know when it's time - you will know. I never believed people when they said that but it's true. You will, they tell you, until then savor every last second. Don't say your goodbyes until your heart says so. :heartlub
