I used to get readers at the Dollar store, had them all over my house...I just needed a bit of magnification! lol
but for the past 3 years, I have been in bifocals...love them...lol
you?
do you wear glasses? how long? love ? hate?

Yep, I've worn them since Sr. year of high school. I wouldn't say I hate them, but they're not my favorite, and my eyes are too dry for contacts.

I got glasses when I was four. YUCK! I was clearly born with bad eyesight as my Mom said I used to just run into things. Lol! I wore glasses until 8th grade when I FINALLY got contacts. It was the greatest day ever for my young self. I always had thick ugly black glasses that dwarfed my face. When I got contact and went to school in 8th grade, people thought I was a new student. :) Then even better was when I had LASIK done about 7 years ago and now I don't need anything and I can see better than ever before.

I have glasses. I am severely far sighted in my right eye--as in no depth perception (also explains why I was horrible in the outfield and a much better infielder for baseball, lol). As I've gotten older I noticed that my left eye is not able to do all the work on it's own so I now have reading glasses. I have found that I rely on them more and more, as in I have kept my other prescription ones and have a pair at work, a pair at home and a pair I keep in my purse. I am sure bi-focals will be in my future.

I've worn glasses since about 3rd grade. I have what is commonly called a lazy eye, however for the last ten years I should be wearing bifocals. - but they make me seasick. I commonly cart around at least two pairs of glasses. One for looking and one for seeing.. LOL.
I have to wear prescription because my eyes focus at different spots and each lens is a different prescription.

I've worn glasses since 2nd grade. I don't have strong feelings about them either way. They do what I need them to do. I have astigmatism in one eye and each eye has a different prescription, so no dollar store specs for me.

Apparently 2nd grade was the first year my assigned seat wasn't near the front of the class, and I couldn't see the blackboard. When I told my parents, my mom thought I was only saying it because my best friend had just gotten glasses. She took me to get tested anyway, figuring the doctor would set me straight, and was blown away when I couldn't see the big E. When I finally got my glasses, we went out into the parking lot and I asked what all the lines in the sky were. I'd never seen power lines. Mom felt awful!

OMG Lorry, poor you. I needed glasses since second grade too. I don't remember anything but going and picking the pinkest pair in the store. LOL!!!

I have glasses. I got them when I was about 20 I think.

I honestly hate them terribly. I have a crooked, broken nose and no matter what kind of nose pieces I have, they hurt my nose. I don't like the way I look in them, and I hate having to get prescription sunglasses. My "good" sunglasses broke recently and I don't love the pair I have from Zenni.

I rarely wear contacts b/c I have really severe dry eyes (my doc said I have the smallest tear ducts he's ever seen) and contacts are not very compatible with that.

Mine had a picture of Garfield on the inside of the legs. So no one knew about it but me but I still thought it was cool for some reason. lol

I'm very nearsighted and have had glasses since age 5 or 6. I did a funky program from about age 8 until maybe about 16 where I wore hard contacts that were supposed to reshape my eyes and improve my vision. It didn't work very consistently, and I got corneal abrasions fairly often. I gave up and wore glasses most of the time for the next couple of years, then got rigid gas permeable contacts when I started college. So much better. But I gave up on those too after having kids. Glasses were just easier. These days I'm in progressives, and I think I'm due for a new pair, since I'm having to tilt my head at some pretty odd angles to hit the right spot sometimes. :giggle I don't mind wearing glasses. I think since I've had to deal with it as long as I can remember, it's just normal for me.

I have cheap readers all over the house and quite often just have a pair sitting on the top of my head. I can't read without them and in the grocery store I can't read labels if I don't have glasses. So I hate having to need them but I really don't mind wearing them except for when I'm doing a photo shoot b/c I hate having to slide the glasses off and on as they distort my vision if I leave them on when looking off into the distance.

Glasses ever since I was a kid and bi-focals for as long as I can remember, lol, gosh I'm old! Right now I'm trying to wait it out until I start Medicare next year to get my cataracts done, it would be considerably less expensive!

I've worn glasses since I was about 2 years old so almost 26 years. Because I wear them all the time, I am so used to them and would find it strange not to have them

I was in my 40's when I started needing glasses. I couldn't see my kids' faces when there were across the gym from me in games and performances. Then age made my eyeballs harden and I needed them to read. The eye doctor said I needed two pair, one for reading and one for far distance. I thought he was nuts. How could I go from never wearing glasses to having to keep track of two different pairs. I went with progressives and my eyes don't change but every two to three years in very small increments. Now I wear glasses all the time and two hearing aides (congenital hearing loss). I, at least, have all my own teeth.

no glasses for me up until about 2 years ago. i just need a little magnification to read tiny print and buy them from the drugstore.

Not yet. I imagine I will need them in a few years. It seems to happen in everyone in my family around 46 or so.

I got glasses when I was 7. I use contacts now and can't see anything without them... can't live without glasses or contact lenses :(

I had eye surgery when I was 5 and wore glasses up until high school... I hated them then and now that I am starting to have some vision issues, I dread needing them again...

since 4 yr old, hard in ememtry school, nick name was ma-goo-goo-eyes (cartoon Mr Mago, or something like that). Born 2lb 1oz. Back then they didn't know pure oxygen, damaged eyes. Got bifocals 10 year ago. Gotta have, one has no choice
