hubby, the girls, the dog and I stood out on our veranda at midnight and watched for some fireworks from the city - we can't always see them as there is a few hills between my place and the city but every now and then a high one will burst above the horizon which is fun! Now we are all up and enjoying a relaxing 1st Jan

A whole lot of nothing fun! Cleaned bathrooms, did laundry, got all the Christmas stuff put away - I love how clean and big our house seems after putting up all the extras.

We spent the day taking down all the Christmas decorations which sadly I always thoroughly enjoy. I love putting away the clutter and getting my living room back too.
Then last night we took our kids with us to a friends house and they had about 7-8 families over with their kids too. My kids were so excited to get to go to a party and stay up until midnight. We always buy bubbly grape juice for them and they think they are big stuff with that! We shot off fireworks and just had such a fun night.
