My son has a birthday on November 27 - he was born on Thanksgiving Day (for US folks) so we made a rule, no tree till after his party. Because a bunch of crazy boys in my house with Christmas up - i don't think so. So usually we do the last day of November, that way we have the tree for all of December and can prep for our traditions.
