I put two up today...but they are prelit and that is all I did...it wore me out!
Tomorrow...I may plug them in! :giggle
What about you!

Mine is up! Only has two ornaments on it but the lights are there and that's the part I think is a pain.

Ours is up and decorated. We pretty much do our tree (which is also pre-lit) and a few nativities and that is about it. And stockings!
I laughed on Sunday when Micah got the tree and totes out of the attic--"I love that our Christmas decorations are pretty much in one and a half totes" was his quote.

Mine used to go up December 1 but as the boy gets older it seems to up later and later. Think last year it was up and decorated by the 15th. When we were a family of three we always had a real tree but as we became a family of two I bought a pre-lit one and I really believe I miss my real tree. Debating on buying a small real one this year to see if that makes a difference in me wanting to decorate. :)

Ours goes up on the Sunday after Thanksgiving usually. We go to a cute tree farm out in the middle of nowhere and they have horse drawn wagons to go out to the fields and then free hot cocoa when you get back with your tree. It's a fun tradition we've done every year since we started dating and our kids love it there.

Now it's not always completely decorated that day, but the tree is up! :)

Whenever I'm walking around town and I see trees for sale and I think "we should get a tree" and then I drag DH out and we buy one. That's when it goes up. lol Hasn't happened yet.

We get live (well cut) trees so wait later than a lot of people as we don't like chasing around dropped needles. Ideally we'd get our tree this weekend but we have too many activities, so we'll have to wait till the following weekend. Which is ironic, because this year I'm actually feeling slightly festive, whereas normally I don't!

This is partly us and my reasoning - the real tree and lasting out the holiday. My other main reason for waiting is to celebrate my son's birthday on the 7th... then we can celebrate Christmas. So... we may get the tree one evening next week, and then decorate the following weekend. I want my son to remember birthdays separate from the big holidays. It's a bit tricky some years, but this one worked well so far.

My DD's birthday is December 22.....so all her birthday photos blend into Christmas ones! Drives me batty, but so far she seems to actually like it that way. :)

Ours is up. I usually like to wait until the first weekend in December. But this year we were home for Thanksgiving and the girls were begging so we did it on Saturday.

My youngest daughter's birthday is the 22nd also. I always feel a little bummed for her - we try to do something special but it is such a crazy time of the year.

I like to do ours the day after Thanksgiving but I've been sick for the past week so we only got around to it last night. We'll slowly add ornaments until Christmas.

DS is the 28th and there's still xmas stuff everywhere but we try to take pics away from it - but i want to do this thing i saw on pinterest (of course) this year... a Birthday Tree http://www.pinterest.com/pin/496170083919501329/

December 1 starts the fun - that's a rhyme i made up to justify it to bah-humbug DH who wouldnt bother with a tree at all really, but we did it Sunday the 30th Nov this year cos DS has been bugging us about it for weeks and it's just easier on the weekend because hauling out the boxes, assembling the tree from said boxes, untangling the light strands and then deciding what coloured cr@p to throw on the thing this year all takes time - but i wouldnt have it any other way ;)

Ours went up on Saturday. We have a 9-foot artificial tree. The kids did the majority of the assembly this year with only minor assistance! Yay! DH and I did the lights and garland Saturday night, and then Kaylee and I did the ornaments on Sunday. :)

I put up most of the rest of our fairly minimal decorations on Monday. I still have a couple of boxes of random decorations to sort through and decide what to put up. We've accumulated a lot of odds and ends that we don't really use. I do miss the holly garland we used to put across the windows though. We had to toss it a couple of years ago since it was falling apart. The walls look really bare without it.

We pretty much always do it the day after Thanksgiving, but because we were out of town for Thanksgiving this year, we put it up the week before. It felt really early to do it, but it sure felt nice to come home to it already up and taken care of after our Thanksgiving trip.
