Pad Patter: 11/23 - Black Friday

Online: I got Christmas jammies for everyone from Old Navy. I also have a shopping cart at Amazon with most of Miss Monkey's gifts, her and SS' annual ornaments, and a couple things for my family. I keep thinking I should wait until Monday to buy it all to see if it gets any cheaper. Of course, I bought DYD stuffs from here and some stuffs from another store, too, for my scrapping. :)

In person: I did take Monkey to JCPenney's last night. It was no big deal; we got a parking space right away and stood in line to get checked out 10 minutes. I got a winter coat + gloves for me and a few outfits for her for Christmas.

I went out to go visit my nieces Thursday night about 7:30. I had to drive past the Walmart to get to their house. The line of cars going in was insane. When I left at about 9:30, the cars were parked out in the street, people were all over walking...I'm sure some were walking down to the Best Buy because there was no parking down there...it was insane how many people were out. It was like being at Disneyland!!

So, no shopping for me. I went to Lowes on Friday to get a new faucet for the kitchen (which I don't like, but it's staying because of the amount of work dh had to go through to get it in...I'll hire a plumber next time!), and that is it. I want to go to the movies, but it's at the mall. I'm afraid!! I'm so glad I'm not working retail this holiday!! I've had two job offers, both at the mall though...so I had to turn them down! :)

and yes, did some TLP shopping!! :)

DH and I went out Thursday night and waited for toys r us to open. We did some power shopping for 12 hours and then crashed. It is the only time that we can go shopping together so we take advantage of it. My parents come up for thanksgiving and spend the night so we can shop. We got awesome deals and got everything we wanted to get for the boys plus a few extras.

We went to toys r us, Walmart, target, kohls, Kmart and meijer.

I never go out shopping on Black Friday. And ever since last year, when that nutty woman pepper sprayed the Wal-Mart down the road from us, I am *definitely* not going on such a crazy day. We're still trying to figure out what our kids want.
