I have always been a night owl. During the summers in high school and college, I was on my dream schedule: work from 5 pm - midnight, eat 'dinner,' go to bed at 3 or 4 am, sleep until 3 or 4 pm, eat 'breakfast,' and repeat. My sister worked the same job and did the exact same thing!
However, I am now a very bad gurl and sacrifice sleep so that I can get time alone/scrap time. DH works third shift, so I have DD with me 24/7 during the week and most of the weekends that we don't have my SS. I usually get 5 or 6 hours of sleep a night, but really need 9. Between me being a light sleeper, DD being a light sleeper, living in a busy/noisy neighborhood, and DH coming home in the middle of the night (making noise, opening garage, etc.), I never get a lot of sleep (and neither does DD for that matter). If I don't have too much housework, I'll try to nap when she is.
