Pad Patter 11/1: Sleep

I can surprisingly function on little sleep, when I have deadlines coming up (design wize) I tend to stay up till 2-3am, but usually I go to bed around midnight (so I get about 3 hours top of sleep)
I wake up every day at 6am for work

I'm another night owl here. I love to stay up until midnight but when the kids went back to school, my hours switched to me going in at 6:45 a.m. and getting off at 3:00 so I can pick the kiddos up from school and not have daycare. It's been great, but I have to go to bed by about 11:00 and I keep forgetting! :) I usually get 6-7 hours and never have trouble going to sleep at night thankfully!

Morning person. I used to be a die hard night owl, but as I got older I started to lean more toward morning. I think some of that is out of necessity - the dogs always had me up early (still do) and now I get up early for my job, but I find that I really like being up and getting moving on my chores even on the weekends. Of course, that means I'm sound asleep in the chair at 8:30 pm!!

Here's how confused I am! I went to bed around 7:30 pm last night without even having dinner. I woke up around 1 a.m., watched Glee and then slept again until 6:30!

I'm neither. I get up pretty early and try to go to bed by 11 or 12. I've had sleep issues all my life, go to sleep fine but staying asleep is really hard for me. If I get a good 6 or 7 hours in I'm golden.

I function best if I get 9 - 10 hours of sleep. But that doesn't happen very often. I'm lucky if I get seven uninterrupted hours of sleep, but usually DD wants to nurse, or I have a nightmares that keep me awake. If I get less than 6 hours of sleep I get a migraine. Lately I've had a lot of those.

i have to have at LEAST 8 hours or i can not function.
what's sad is i love to stay up late.
but, if i can't sleep in. i'm a bear the next morning.
i love my bed, i love being snug under the covers, i just plain love to sleep!

Totally a morning person and definitely need to get enough sleep (7-8) hours to be a happy person. I'm usually up by 6am and in bed pretty early. I really wish I could stay up a little later though.

Im a night owl, DH is a early bird..really early. He gets up aroun 430 every morning, even on his days off. I rather sleep till around 630.

definitely not a night owl! I need 7 - 8 hours of sleep and am pretty much always in bed before 11:00.

I don't know whether I am a night owl or morning person. In an ideal world, I could go to bed by 10-11, since I get up at 5:45 (mostly just to have a moment of silence and quiet time before the boys get up). I have had sleep issues for several years though and even with taking sleep aids, I don't often fall asleep very easily. This week, I have been staying up late scrapping and checking in on the forums and even though I pay for it a bit the next day, it has felt SO good to be scrapping again!

I have always been a night owl. During the summers in high school and college, I was on my dream schedule: work from 5 pm - midnight, eat 'dinner,' go to bed at 3 or 4 am, sleep until 3 or 4 pm, eat 'breakfast,' and repeat. My sister worked the same job and did the exact same thing!

However, I am now a very bad gurl and sacrifice sleep so that I can get time alone/scrap time. DH works third shift, so I have DD with me 24/7 during the week and most of the weekends that we don't have my SS. I usually get 5 or 6 hours of sleep a night, but really need 9. Between me being a light sleeper, DD being a light sleeper, living in a busy/noisy neighborhood, and DH coming home in the middle of the night (making noise, opening garage, etc.), I never get a lot of sleep (and neither does DD for that matter). If I don't have too much housework, I'll try to nap when she is.
