It's no secret around TLP that I'm a horrible insomniac. So what about you? Night owl or morning person? Do you get "enough" sleep or are you chronically sleep deprived?
 
Total night owl. I hate mornings with a purple passion.
I log about 3-4 hours of sleep a night, which is perfect for me. Any more than that and I am a complete monster that no one should be around.
 
I think I get plenty of sleep....its REST that I desperately need/desire/want! I didn't think there was a difference but I can not get my mind to settle down. Some nights I get so exhausted that I just lay there and think of stupid crap like "Hmmm, wonder what the living room would look like if I moved the couch there? Or What if I moved the rug this way? Speaking of rugs, I like that new rug for my kitchen but the towels don't really match it." One of my co-workers calls it Spaghetti Brain!
 
I get 6-7 hours on average. My body always gets up at 7 in the morning no matter what. I fall asleep very easily too.
 
I am a night owl, only because my husband is one. :) I love my sleep. i love short power naps. I rarely get enough. But I function well if I have about 6-7 hours a night, with a power nap. When I am tired, though, I can fall asleep anywhere.
 
I stay up too late every night and then, I am so tired in the morning. I am def. not a morning person. I used to sleep really good, but I have a lot of trouble sleeping these days. When I don't get enough sleep I get migraines. That has been happening way too often!
 
UGH. I sleep for crap. Never more than an hour or 2 at a stretch. I never feel rested. I think my mind just never fully shuts down enough for me to sleep restfully. Eventually after a couple of weeks it starts to catch up to me and I have to take an afternoon nap. That time is coming soon again (in fact, I should have done it today).
 
oh i could sleep for england if only i was allowed too,i could easily get into bed at 8 and sleep right through till 8 but all the times i have to get up to pee and then gabbi wakes about 6 and if she wakes earlier then thats it im awake,im evil when i am tired but i am good first thing so i suppose im a morning person

this is me EXACTLY. I just realized the sleep-migraine connection in this past year; if I go more than 1-2 days without getting good rest I get a migraine. I have to make sure I get 7hrs each night!

I love my sleep too. I don't think I am, either a night person or a morning person. I get about 7-8 hours a night, go to sleep easily and rarely wake through the night. I can't function too well for long with less than that.
 
My alarm goes off at 4:45 am for work. I snooze til 5 or 5:15. I try to go to bed by 10:30. But I am still always tired in the morning.
 
i used to be a night owl, no question. now i'm not so sure. i fall asleep so easily any more, but i think it's because i'm forced to be up at 6am for school. so if i operated on my own clock and disregarded everyone and everything else, i would be a night owl who slept about 8 hours a night. as it is, i usually get about 7. it's enough i guess, but barely.
 
My sleeping is totally erratic. I do well with 10 hours a night. Yes I said 10. I do wake 3 or four times a night but usually am able to go back to sleep quickly. Obviously sometimes it's less especially when a bout of insomnia comes along because of "speghetti brains". I take naps often and sometimes I will sleep all night, continue to nap throughout the day, stay up for a bit while my school boy is home but when he goes down at 8:00 I will be right there with him. If you erroniously think this sounds good, it's terrible. I cherish the days when I feel energized but then I over do it and collapse shortly after. Crazy, huh?
 
i'm a night owl (and thanks to SOME (*ahem*) i tend to be a little more because they keep sidetracking me when i try to go to bed early) and would love to sleep in till 10 every day and then take a nap at 11. however, i do live in the real world of motherhood.... i really do love sleep and very rarely have any problems getting there ... once i'm actually in bed. i usually get 7-8hrs of sleep every night.
 
I"m a night owl. I don't like to get up early but unfortunately have to. :( I normally get 5-6 hours of sleep everyday.
 
I have been a night owl all my life! Up until this week, I have worked mostly nights. I finally got over a bad spout of insomnia, but now I'm all confused because I have to go to bed and get up early! Needless to say, I am pretty cranky right now LOL! I might just sleep all weekend!
 
I'm not a night person or a morning person...a bit of both maybe? I typically get 6-7 hours a night. Sometimes 8 on the weekends.
 
I sleep really well, but each morning I have to get my DD up for work at 5. Sometimes I can't get back to sleep because I start thinking and my mind races a million miles an hour. I finally realized I can turn on an old episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent that I've already seen a bunch of times, and the comfort of having it on will lull me back to sleep.

I think my DD has a sleep disorder. She doesn't hear alarms and it is really hard to wake her up. She does have sleep apnea, but she can't keep the machine on and/or doesn't realize she's taken the mask off, so it is a nightmare.
