We are on our way to the courthouse to get certified copies of the adoption decrees for our Littles :heartslub
No school today, so they are coming and then we are gonna pop in and EARLY vote. Love to have my kids see us vote and be a part of the system!

Do you vote? Vote early or often?

I think I've missed only a handful of elections my entire voting life. Haven't ever voted early, though.

always vote, early if possible. too much has gone into the fight for our right to do it and the importance of the voice of the people of which we are a part... not to mention - can't justify complaining (ha) if not making the effort to have my voice heard in one small way, even if it's "only" ticking a ballot.

Yep - voter here! I don't vote early - usually just on the scheduled day, and I too love it when the kiddos are with so they see the process and the importance! Our voting location is never super busy, so I don't ever have to wait! Love living in the "somewhat" country area! :)

I vote on the day mainly cause I work as an Election Day Worker

Vote every election in person on election day. I don't really have a need to vote early since I work at home and Tuesdays are my hubby's day off. We go together.

We vote on Election Day. It's a 30 mile drive to early vote and it's kinda 'fun' to go vote in our area as we finally get to see people we've known for years but only see once every 2 years. LOL :) It's sad but true!

We live in WA so we vote early via the mail. While I kind of miss going to the polls, it's so nice to be able to sit down and research things with the ballot in front of me. :)

Voting on Tuesday. I always vote in person, on Election day, except for the first 5 years we were married. We were military, living in Virginia, with Florida permanent residence status-- so we got to vote early by mail. It did make the 2000 "hanging chad" issue a bit more personal, as we weren't sure if our votes were counted or not.
Anyway, I always love to have my "I voted!" sticker on, and always took the kids with me to vote when they were not in school. My daughter's preschool was a polling place, so it was crazy in the 2008 election-- we had to have workers come out to get the kids out of cars as there was no parking due to all the voters.
In Virginia, it seemed that schools were closed on Election day, but here in Alabama, they are not closed. In our county, churches are used as polling places, but in the county nearby, people go to the high school gyms to vote. Growing up, my parents' polling place was at a car dealer. Weird how each county can decide where to have polling places!

I always vote, never early. There's never a line anyway, so no motivation to go early. lol

we went today and it was packed!! That makes me so happy, everyone in line was all happy about a line!

I always vote as well. We had our municipal elections on Monday and have a new mayor, deputy mayor and council. I try to vote early but didn't for this one, was already home and in my yoga pants (I am not fit for public viewing in those) and big sloppy t-shirt by the time I remembered it was that night so waited.

We have to vote, its compulsory here in Australia ... I don't mind really as I think we should all have a say in who runs the country.... plus I love the sausage sizzles that they always put on at the polling Booths :giggle

Yep, I vote, but I've never done it early. I've never taken the kids with me either as I usually go on my break at work to vote. The building that we vote in is the church across the street from where both my hubby and I work, so it's easier to do it during the day when everyone else is at work and there are no lines. :)

As an expat, I can only vote in (US) national elections, and I have no choice to vote on the day of, so it's early or not happening. I don't always vote, because I don't always feel the difference between candidates is enough to justify paying for the stamp. Here in Denmark, I can only vote in local elections, and if there is a way to do it early, I've not found it out. I've only been eligible to vote one time since living here, though I have gone with DH when he voted before I could do it, and it's never taken very long.

When I was a kid, I remember going into the booths with my parents and pressing whatever levers they told me to. I thought it was the COOLEST THING EVER. Now my kids can watch me draw an X in a box and fold a paper in half. Not nearly as exciting, IMO, but I do let them put the paper in the box for me!

I vote on the actual day and my kids used to go with me all of the time. Our previous polling place was in a used bookstore and the line wound through the kids section... they usually had a stack of books picked out by my turn to vote! The bookstore closed this year, so I'll be voting at a church instead this time.
