Pad Patter: 10/22 - Desk

Well, in my dreams, I have a fabulous laptop so I can relax and scrap in bed or on the couch. But sadly in reality that is not the case, and I have a desk in the living room with my desktop. My desk is not custom built or super expensive, but it isn't Walmart either. Kinda in between. I love it actually, just wish I had the lappy so I could get away from the desk sometimes. I work at it, scrap at it, and pretty much do everything, so the couch would be a nice change.

Oh and it is usually kinda cluttery. I always have my camera, phone, a glass of water, keys, and other random things on it, and then the kids pile school work for me to check on it during the day too, so by night it is not looking so great. But Chris hates it messy since its in the living room, so I de-clutter it each night.
 
I have a room dedicated to being a 'study', dh uses it as well when he needs to work from home. It's generally a bit of a mess - it tend to keep getting pushed to the bottom of the 'to tidy' list :). I do use the computer in there, usually for editing photos as I trust that monitor a little more, but I normally scrap on the sofa with my laptop and the telly on :)
 
I'm going to give up the laptop and go desktop of my dreams with lots of ram here in a week or so. I have been scrapping on the kitchen bar counter but will have to move to a desk. I've tested for the last month with two table leaves set across nightstands and I'm ready to give that up. I tried scrapping in the office but I really like to watch tv while I scrap so I think it'll be small desk in the living room.
 
I have a 2x4 banquet table that is covered over with stuff. I really long for a proper desk but I am dreaming of built ins and it's just not in our budget right now, plus it doesn't make sense to do that in an apt we're hoping not to be in forever.
 
I have a white Ikea expedit desk in my living room that houses a lot of stuff. I'd take a picture, but it's rather embarrassing. My laptop lives there and I can push it aside when I'm hybrid/paper scrapping or card making. Most of the time when I scrap I bring the laptop to the couch.
 
I have an old fashioned roll top desk that I love, but at the moment it's a total bomb site, so I'm sitting on the lounge, watching trashy tv and typing away lol
 
My computer sits on a banquet table that's approx 3x5, and except for where I rest my arms to type, it's a complete clutter black hole. When I've previously cleared it off, sort of, I've found papers that were missing for years on the bottom of a particular pile to my left.
 
ooooh wow Mirjam, that looks awsome and looooove the memory board against the wall, such an awsome idea!!

I have a simple desk at the attic with my desktop, flat screen & printer. On my wall, behind the screen I have tons of old & new photos all framed... I also have a small photostudio here. In the future this is going to be Lina's room...but for now I got plenty of space :D
