I kept putting off this Pad Patter this morning and just barely remembered! Oops!

Anyone else forgetful like me? Let’s share our forgetfulness below.

When I went to Girls’ Camp for the first time ever I forgot my toothbrush. Thankfully a leader went and bought one for me. They gave me the forgetful award at the end of the week which was an elephant shaped squirt gun.

I forget things all the time, it's mom brain! Even if it's in my calendar I still space things. I was planning to go to high school parent teacher conferences today right when they started at 3:45... totally spaced it but luckily I realized at about 5:45 and still had time to run over real quick before they ended. I didn't get to chat with all the teachers but some is better than none! I have two high schoolers so it's a lot.

I’m glad I’m not the only forgetful one! That’s good you were able to make it to some of the teachers; some is definitely better than none!

I forget stuff often. Sometimes I have a complete blank moment.
Life's a little busy at the moment. Hoping that improves soon.

I have blank moments a lot too. My oldest laughs because I frequently lose my train of thought while coaching her team.

It happens more often as I grow older. For some things I use a good old sticky note so it is in my face all the time. And, the loss of train of thought happens as well. And, I don't have mommy brain to blame it on, thus blaming it on age. LOL

Ditto!

My "fav" thing to forget though is when I grocery shopping ... even when I go with a list, and mark things off the list as I put them in the cart, I STILL managed to forget a thing or two most every trip. Of course, I've been doing that for decades!

I’m definitely getting more forgetful with age.

Forgetting groceries is the worst because then I have to make another trip!

Yep, just yesterday I had something on my list. Ended up running into a former co-worker and after our chat I headed off to get one last item... forgetting that I had something else on my list. So I came home without.

I'm so forgetful, it happens on a daily basis, from little things like walking into a room and not remembering why I entered, to forgetting appointments or getting the days mixed up and going to an appt on the wrong day.

Thoughts come and go, I remember something now and then later forget, only to have it return again at a later date. Such is my life. I'm used to it. I feel like it's a bit worse since having covid a few times this year. My energy and respiratory tightness resolved but the fogginess is still there a bit. Luckily not enough to cause serious problems but more of a nuisance. I tend to write things down or put them in my phone calendar.

I am definitely forgetful! If I didn't have my calendar reminding where to go and when to be places, I think I'd just walk around in circles. :giggle Yesterday, my hubby called me to tell me that we needed to go pick up his truck from the shop right after work. I agreed, hung up and then completely forgot all about it. (I'm SUPER busy at work lately). Then at 5:00 I went home and changed into my work out clothes and texted my friend I was ready to work out. Then when she pulled in my driveway to get me, my hubby was waiting for me in my car to go get his truck. Good grief. I was so embarrassed that I to tell my friend... uh... nevermind on the work out. I'm a space cadet!

I feel like I just have TOO Many tabs open & one is making music & I just can't.... :rollin

I have been super sick this week, I'm fighting with our home insurance adjuster about carpet coverage from our water leak, I'm trying to get Christmas all finished since we leave next weekend for my family holidays, both kids have activities almost every evening & now my car is in the shop (thankfully for warranty work- but still ONE more thing on my crazy list!) I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and definitely know there's things slipping through these cracks over here...

If I’m in a store and remember something I need, I have to add it to my list in my phone or I’ll forget it before I leave!

I’m sorry it’s worse since having covid; I know the fogginess is very common and definitely sounds like a nuisance. Thank goodness for phone calendars!

Haha this made me laugh Karen. I would completely forget too! If I’m busy and I don’t write it down anywhere or put it in my phone then my brain will never remember it.

I’m sorry you’re sick Amie. I hope you get well soon so you can close all those tabs and get back to your full functioning self.
